Goal #1 to get allllll my water in!!!
Goal #2 to do more weight training.
Goal #3 not to get depressed over my first post-op no birthday cake birthday!! (the only time I ever ate cake was on my b-day)
Goal #4 not to bite everyones head off if the irk me (I too have been grouchy)
Goal #5 to enyoy every day I have with my kids. To enjoy the ability to chase after my kids and play with them like a normal mom.

To a size 14!!!!!!!!! I actually fit my hinnie into a size 14 pants this weekend!!!! I just about keeled over in the dressing room when they fit!!! I thought my goal would be to get into a size 18 or maybe a 16 so that I could just shop in regular stores but now I see that maybe I can get into a size 10 or 12!!! Life is good, very very good.

Barbara, your experiece was not acceptable. I would go either go back and talk with management or call their corporate office. First of all they carry up to sixe 18/20 xl in most items and 14/16 lareg in the rest. The sales person you encountered was a jerk and do not let her make you feel bad. She obviously has issues with anyone who is not a sixe "0". Do not let her affect you, you are doing great!!!!!!!

First off - CONGRATS on your weightloss!!!
Now for your question..hmmm...my doc said to stick to 2oz for as long as humanly possible. Then we can increase to 4 (1/2c) but to never exceed the 1c rule. Of course you will be able to eat more than 1c of salad and stuff that's mostly water based.
If it's dense - 1/2 c is about all I can put down there. There are still times though that 1/4 c is looking mighty HUGE for me!

Okay October babies - lets hear your goals for the month of August.
I would really like to be at the docs bottom goal weight which is 8 more pounds. So...that's my goal.
My second goal is to get in 6 miles each day of walking. I have a pedometer and it tells me what I've done so it should be easy to track. Especially because at work we're suppose to be doing 5 miles a day.
My third goal is to not be so quick to snap at people (I've been kinda a grouch lately)

Wow Karyn, you've done great! I had surgery the same day as you and have only lost 81 lbs. Not that I'm not glad, but I do notice that most people have lost more than me. What's your secret?? LOL I know I need more exercise but I have a sit down job and am at the computer all day long. I do get up and walk around but I can't take any long walks. I guess I need to get up earlier to walk on my treadmill. I get up now at 5:30 am but I don't have time.
My dr. told me that eventually, we should be able to eat 1 cup of food. But I don't remember how long that will take. Sometimes I eat more than other times... it's weird. Keep up the good work! Pam

Hi everyone-this is my first posting on the 10/03 board. i had surgery 10/13 and Im down 132 pounds. I'm just curious what your doctor recommends for eating. I'm supposed to be eating 1/2 cup at each meal, three times a day, no snacking. Now, I go back in August and maybe that will go up, but does that jive with what your doctor says? Just curious.

Dinner (If I eat... I will have baked salmon and watermelon). I'm not feeling too good tonight though so I might not eat.

Well, I'm happy that your trip to VS went well. I do have a bone to pick with Vicky myself. What makes her think that only average size women want sexy lingerie? I used to say that Victoria's real secret was that REAL women can't fit into her stuff! I went in recently looking for a size 7 panty and was told they don't carry panties that large and that I should go to Lane Bryant. Now I'm down from a 10, so to me 7 is looking pretty good. That was frustrating. She also told me that I wouldn't be able to find lingerie in their store to fit a size XL or 14-16. Here I was feeling excited about being a "normal" size at last and Victoria goes and makes me feel like a "fatty" all over again. Vicky would do well to either give their employees some sensativity training or better still carry real women's sizes!! Remember Marilyn Monroe was a size 14 !!
