Helllo.... from houston.... What a great goal. I started at 287 got down to 145, got pregnant and currently weight 175. I am trying to loose 20 pounds and it so hard... I do not know about you but I am not eating as much as I used to but I am eating carbs and empty calories.... I am so glad that I am not alone in my struggle. I am so scared to continue gaining weight and have my diabetes come back at full force... Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for posting it is good to know that I am not alone in my struggle.

HI from Oregon Kristin. I went from 280 to 120 and stayed there until preggo.. I had a baby at 41 in March, gained 28 pounds and am down now to 116. My blood work is great and I dont have the energy that I used to but am back to exercising. I go to the gym with my 2 teenagers and walk around my neighborhood. If I get on the scale and gain more than 2 pounds I cut back on calories and eat back to the basics, protein first. I am breastfeeding and work on a balanced diet and keeping up with my vitamins and B12 shots. You know we worked too darn hard to get WLS and lose the weight to gain it back, so hang in there and keep working on it. The best tool for me is FITDAY.COM.......... it keeps me honest and I log in about 1 time a week to count calories, fat, protein and track my liquids....... Hugz! Hi all!!! I lurk alot, but would LOVE to keep in touch with anyone who wants to. We get so busy with life. Have any of you gotten to where you eat bad stuff? I sure have and dont like it. I eat 3 oreos a day with my coffee in the morning. How can we stop? I am so afraid of gaining. How do all of you cope with the everyday struggles? Help!!! Pegi

Hello everyone, I had stopped coming to Obesity Help for quite a while because I found it too discouraging that everyone else seemed to be doing so much better than I was. I never made it to goal. I did lose 120 lbs, and get to under 200 (198) which made me very happy. Now I just struggle with gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. I have a very hard time with going back to my old bad habits. I do try hard to exercise several times a week, which I never did pre- WLS. I either walk the track at the High School, or I have a wide variety of exercise videos, from old Richard Simmons to Tae Bo (?) and that annoyingly cheerful Denise Richards woman Janice

Hi there...I'm joining the thread as I'm struggling too...I at surgery (10/14/06) my weight was 362lbs. I had weighed as much as (documented) 386.5 prior to that. I saw 165 on the scale in around May of 2005...that was my lowest weight...stayed around 170 - 175 for several months and then...wham-o...25-30 lbs gain...I got up to 198.5 and have been working really hard to get it back off and I'm back down to about 188...I excercise (vigorously) a total of 5 - 6 times a week, walk/run a total about about 20 miles a week and lift weights 3 -4 times a week...it SUCKS that I wasn't born with the metabolism of a racehorse...but I REFUSE to go back where I was. I saw your earlier post about buying the Marathon book by Jeff Galloway...I've met and spoken with him in person and he's such a great guy. I hope you make it ot your Marathon goal! Hi there. Dyanna here. I am post op 3 years today!! Yippeee!! I started at 217lbs and now run 150-158lbs. I can tolerate just about anything, except reheated meat. No leftovers for me. I have noticed that I have also been eating crap carbs. Really hard to drop the old habits. I don't post much these days. I am a mother of 2 and trying to finish my MBA while working. My husband has decided to look into this surgery for himself, so here we go again! Take care.
