May Check-in...Maintaining?

Hi Everyone! This board seems to be very quiet! Many of us have reached goal and are happily living our thinner lives. I'm wondering how easy people are finding it to maintain? I reached goal back in October. I had my TT and then adjusted my "goal" down 10 lbs.....since that's where I was at and my body was comfortable there (and not under weight). Anyway, at first it was tricky to stop losing, but I have stayed almost exactly the same (within 1/2 pound) since January 2nd! I still weigh myself a couple times a week...record it once a week, just so that I know I'm under control. I still drink a protein drink every morning, and do vitamins and minerals as I have right along. Sometimes I struggle to get my water or exercise in, but I definitely do better than I ever did pre-op! My main struggle at this point is mental! People are adjusting to me at this size, so the "Wow" moments have subsided..I'm not the focus of attention so much anymore. The head hunger/emotional eating demon is a struggle some days. I know that (for me anyway) this is the hardest..and most important...part of this journey. Now is when "forever" really begins, and I must stay on track so that I don't regain. Otherwise, my life is great! I got married two weeks ago, and had the beautiful, enchanting day of my dreams! I was even the thin bride that I always was in my dreams! I have started a golf league again, and have a great partner who wants to walk the course with me, so that we are getting in our exercise. So, how is everyone else doing? Hey Kathy, sounds like life is doing wonders for you. Congrats on your new marriage. I too have been at goal for a long time, but haven't been able to do plastics (sigh), I put on a few pounds, which makes me happier, because believe it ornot, a few pounds on such a small frame makes a huge difference. The head is the hard part, the no more wow moments is a little weird too, but the end result has been so wonderful. Ihad my tumor taken out of my arm 9 days ago and my fingers are still super numb, but that's really been my biggest draw back. I'm happy and healthy for the most part. 257/133

Hi everybody! I have been maintaining for the last few months and I am feeling great! I would love to have a tummy tuck, so I'm trying to save up for that. Be Blessed! Mendie 268/148

Yes to the Maintaining! I've been at the same wt forever! This must be a natural weight for me. When I was young it was 125 - 135. Now that I'm older and have some extra skin hangn' around 150 must be a natural weight for me? exercise and good eating habits do not shed those last few pounds. Oh well I'm fine with that. I'm healthy, happy, loved and what more can a gurl ask for? ...oh ok, plastics would be great
