It's done. My tummy tuck, hernia repair, and extra skin from my arms are all completed. He removed 6 pounds from my belly and 1 pound each from my arms. I'm glad that it's over, too. This was way different than the bypass surgery, as for the pain. I'm healing up good and feeling better every day. I had 4 of the 5 drainage tubes removed, yesterday. I'll have to keep that one in for at least another 2 weeks. The binder I'll have to wear for a long time to come. I'm not sure how long. My surgeon wouldn't give me a difinitive answer. Thanks for all of your support. I love you guys, Jane

Jane, Congratulations! I was wondering how you are doing. The compression garmet is specifically calibrated to help your lymph fluid move along in your system. The lymphatic system is interrupted when skin is removed. Without the right amount of compression... the fluid will accumulate and the swelling will be unbearable. I'm almost 8 weeks post tummy tuck with 10 lbs of skin removal and I'm still having a difficult time with swelling even with lymphatic massages and compression garments! Good luck to you, Jackie
