Reunion or not . . .

I received an invitation for bariatric patiens from Arcadia Methodist and Comprehensive Surgical Associates to a "reunion." I hate the word "reunion." I've dodged every single high school reunion since I graduated from that hellhole, but I think I'll attend this particular party. After all, this time I snagged the brass ring. However, this also brings up the other reunion question, which is looming on the horizon. Did I not attend because I didn't feel successful, or because I was such an adolescent geek that I never outgrew it -- or the subsequent feelings of inferiority? Hmmmm. Knotty thoughts. That and the fact that parts of it I simply don't remember; if one remembers the 60s and 70s, one wasn't there. I was There. Oh, well. I'll attend the GOOD reunion, and think about the other. I wish I could remember.

I say go for all the reunions! The nice thing about any of the reunions as we get older is that all the dumb cliques are gone! Most everyone has been puked on, crapped on, and peanut buttered by their kids, and sad to say a large percent have gone thru divorce, bankrupsy, and other various failures in our lives so by the time we get older and all that junk has happened we are all mature humans and nobody really cares about the has beens of school but we are more interested in just reconnecting and making new friends that we were necessarily even associating with in school cuz they weren't in our "group." So I say dump the emotional junk and go have some FUN at ALL future reunions! Best of Luck! God Bless! Angie (wasn't a member of the "in" crowd but can totally hang with all of them now)
