Feb Roll Call
Welcome to Feb everyone! I thought I would start a roll call for Feb to see how everyone is doing.
I am good. I have lost a total of 177 pounds and currently weight 178 (one more pound and I will have lost more than I weigh!!!!). I have been on one heck of a plateau.
All my labs are great so all is well with me!
Hope everyone has a great Valentines Day!!

Hello to all of my WLS buddies! Can y'all believe that this is our 16th month? As I posted earlier, I just had my tummy tuck with hernia repair last week. I'm still very wiped out from that. The day of surgery I weighed 170. The doctor removed 10 lbs of skin so technically I should weight 160. But with all the swelling, etc. my scale says 167. I'm so excited to see my results. I was a size 12 (very tightly squeezed in I might add) before my tt. I know the removal of that skirt will result in at least an 8 inch difference in my hips... so who knows what size that will be?
My goal right now is to get fit for the Danskin Triathalon in June!
Congrats to all my Oct. buddies,
Jackie

Hiyas!
Life is good. No weight change nor was any expected. I'm at about 190lbs and holding. Food tolerance is slowly, slowly getting better. The best news is that my internal thermostat is also slowly returning to closer to normal. My hands only get cold, not radiating cold. I generally don't have to wear a coat or sweater periodically in the house. And finally, I usually don't have to turn on the electric blanket anymore.
Hugs all around.

Hi everyone.
I don't post or come here often anymore. In early December my husband got a really weird health problem and had to have 3 surgeries. I got to pay him back for helping me so much when I had my surgery. He ended up having a flesh eating bacteria under his skin on his abdomin. It took 3 surgeries to stop it. Anyway, life got real busy for about a month. Also, we are in the process of adopting 3 children who have been with us for 7 years. The paperwork and things we have to do to get everything in order is monumental. Also, it was the holidays.
The good thing is I got to go skiing for the first time in 25 years with my two college age boys. I had a blast. I felt it for days and had many bruises to show for it. This is the one thing I was looking forward to doing when I lost my weight. One of our adopted boys learned why they mark the expert runs for experts. He had to get stitches.
My weight loss has stopped. I think if I tried I could loose a few more pounds, but I don't care if I do. My goal was to be a size 12 on the bottom and a 10 on the top. I am now a 10 on the bottom and an 8/10 on the top. I'm in the "normal" range on my BMI. I feel great.

Hi all ! I am very slowly losing still, but I swear it goes for weeks without moving. I keep telling myself that this is normal and not to get on that scale, but I am afraid I will miss that magical drop so I perservere. Anyway, I am down 170lbs and currently weigh in at 174. I am in a size 10 and could really stand to have plastics but don't really want to put out the monies for that or go through the pain. So we will see. I want to lose another 10, but will be really happy if I just stay where I am. I am over 50 and know that I need to be realistic about this. I feel great and my labs are all in line. I feel so much better! God Bless!

Hey everyone,
Life here in Oregon is grand. I am having trouble with meat again though, so that makes me sad. For the first 8 months post-op I couldn't keep meat down about 70% of the time, so I decided to give up on it and go vegetarian. Then back in November I introduced chicken only back into my diet, but now I keep getting sick off chicken again, so I give up! forget it!
I'm sitting at 190 pounds, a loss of -159 pounds from my highest. I wanted to get down to 180 but what I REALLY wanted is to be a size 12, which I am. My body fat % is around 27%, which also makes me happy. I'm still at the gym 5x a week and love working out. Things are good!

Hello my weightloss buddies!
Life is grand, isn't it? Who would have thought that we would all be talking about wearing size 6's - 12's? Not me!!! I wear 14's, but can wear a size 12 in sweat pants. I have lost 169lbs. since the surgery, and 212lbs. since my highest weight. I'm having the tummy tuck and arms done next Friday, the 18th. Send good vibes my way!!! I can eat anything, now. I've learned to stay away from the sweets. I had stopped losing for a while, so I slowed down on the sweets and upped the protein, and have lost 6lbs. in 2 weeks, again. I love you guys! Thanks for the support you have given to me. Jane
Hi everyone!
Life is good here! I've been at goal for a while, and holding nicely. My total loss was 173 lbs. I had my TT in November, and my belly is nice a flat. Last weekend I started shopping for spring and summer clothes. The thighs and upper arms are NOT a pretty sight...kinda like deflated balloons...but I guess its still better than "inflated" ones!!
The thing is, people always say they could never have guessed that I was ever that heavy or have had that big of a weight loss.....well I won't be hearing that once they see me in short sleeve shirts or shorts! Thankfully it appears that longer shorts and capris are in again this year! I'd love to at least get my arms done, butI'm not liking the price thye are telling me. Guess I' ll live with it for now!

313 & size 26/28/ 140 & size 4/6 God is good!
About 200 pounds. I'm in a size 16 pants; 14 top. I am HAPPY!
Labs are good, though this reminds me -- I sort of blew off my mammogram this year, so I'd better get it done when I get my next labs.
Oh, the irony. My new boss just gave me -- for Valentine's Day -- a one-pound box of Godiva.
A year ago, I'd have killed for it. Now, I have to share, because it just isn't me anymore.
Darn it.
