Nothing interesting going on here. I'm maintaining weight in the middle of my normal weight range. My normal range is 181 to 207. I'm at 190 lbs this morning. My family has had a bout of stomach flu which has effected me too. I've only been able to keep down simple foods for the past several days. Unsweetened Cereal (Total Protein) and Jello. The good news is this has gotten me to drop those five pounds I picked up over the holidays eating Christmas Cookies and such! Hugs all around Joe

Hi Kathy, I'm also maintaining at 115 down 108lb from a size 22 to a 4. I'm going under the knife Tuesday (Jan 11) to get rid of my excess skin (arms, belly and thighs) so maybe there will be a few more pounds gone. I took some before PS pictures and IIIIKKKKEEEeee, though I'm scared about the surgery those pictures were even more scary ... wish me luck. Congrats to everyone. Lucie

I was down 110 pounds ...from 250 to 140. I went from a size 22 to a comfortable 10. Unfortunately, I did gain 5 pounds between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I know that this was due to not exercising as much and no****hcing my eating habits like I should have been doing. I have lost 3 of those pounds and have about 10 pounds to my goal weight. This was a real wake up for me....I need to be more aware and be able to nip things early. Fortunately, I won't need any plastic surgery when I am done with the weight loss. I also started my weight strengthening class again last week. I recently got involved in a new relationship several months ago which has been a wonderful thing but, also has let me get a little careless. He is wonderful support who knows that I have been struggling a little lately. I also need to get back involved with this board. I find all of you to be very supportive and caring...so, thanks in advance for all the support! Deb 250/143

Hello everyone, I'm mostly a lurker but I enjoy your posts. Surgery was 10-29-03 and pre op of 398 all time high of 525. I'm now at 197 and wearing size 30 pants and size Med. Shirts down from 64 pants and 5xlt shirts. I had PS 11-30-04 and lost 6.5 lbs and at 5 weeks I'm starting to feel pretty good. I had some major complications during my Hernia repair and belt leptomecy (sp) I lost 8 units of blood after they closed me up. Spent 7 hours in recovery due to them not awear of what had happened and almost checked out for good!. Three tranfussions and 6 units of blood later I'm starting to get my strength back. The sad thing is that I had lost 8 units last christmas due to a bleading ulcer caused by some medication I was on and almost checked out then as well. I had just got back to my normal blood count of 15 just before my Plastic Surgery and then to go through this all again. Thank God I really have a sharp Bariatric surgeon who cought it both times the Plastic Surgeon seemed to not be as awear of the risks as my Bariatric Surgeon. So If you need the reminder......Surgery has all sorts of risks and we know them, but just because one went perfectly that might not happen the next time. I would still do it all over again in a heart beat as I'm sure we all would. Keep up the progress and keep posting. Thank You Shawn

Hi to all the October siblings, Wow, how time flies. I am down from 317 to 172 (prior to the holidays I was 165, but I stopped excercising so I gained some). I can wear some 8's but mostly comfortable in 10's But I am still so happy with my weight loss. I just had a PS consult for my arms and tummy. If the insurance covers a panni (can't spell the whole word) then I will do that, but I am opting for my arms first and foremost since I can't hide them in the summer. I can pretty much hide the tummy but my arms aren't a pretty site. What a gift all of this is to have great health again. Blessings to all of you, enjoy life to it's fullest!!! Pam

Wowie everyone is doing so great. I'm down to 174 from an all time high of 396 and a revision weight of 310; so, I've lost 222 al2gether! I'm wearing a solid 12 right now. It's really funny that when I get into a size... I refuse to wear the previous size no matter if it still fits or not My favorite jeans are a 14, but now that I'm in a 12... they gotta go even though they still fit fine (did I just say that???). Anyway, life is good. My tummy tuck and hernia repair are scheduled for 1/27. God has really given me a gift. Take care, Jackie

Hi. I am part of this "class of October, 2004", and have gone from 213 to 128, size 2X to a 6 or 8. That is great, but better is that my diabetes is now under perfect control without insulin, I no longer need the handfuls of pills I used to take to control my high cholesterol, high triglycerides, the Ditropan I needed to control my leaky bladder, the pain I had in my badley swollen legs, ankles, and feet, and the cardiac medicine I was takeing since I used to be a heart attack waiting to happen. I am content at the weight I am now, but would like to drop about 7 or 8 pounds. This surgery saved my life, and made it a life full of joy. I am grateful. Congratulations to all of us! JoAnne Warner

Hello gang! Sounds like everyone is doing so well! I have gone from 320 to 198, so a total of 122 lbs. My weight loss seems to have stopped, but I know I am snacking too much and exercising too little. I am going to start working at it again because I really would like to get below 170. I am happy though, and feel great! Best thing I ever did for myself! Janice
