Hi all, I did it... I went to the plastic surgeon and booked my surgery for the 11 of January. I'm having the tummy tuck, thigh lift and arms reduced. I'm terrified and excited at the same time; this will be the "finishing touched" as Dr. Gitt put it. I've been maintaining for months now (115 + or - 2 pounds) and I'm curious to see how much skin he will be able to removed. So if anyone has any advise and or their own experience to tell, I'm all ears... I'll be more than happy to report, when the whole thing is done, I expect I will be sore for a while; I have my pre-op appointment on the 28th of December. Until then happy holidays to all Lucie

Yeah Lucie!!! Everything will be great! I can't wait to have mine, too! I go to see my doctor on the 6th of January. I hope to set a date, then. Good luck and I'll be thinking about you. I have a lot of skin to be removed. It will probably take off the extra 20 lbs. I have to go! Let us know how everything goes. Your Weightloss Buddy, Jane

From the pictures posted most of you appear to be much younger than I am. I think I do need a tummy tuck but my primary care physician (who was so supportive and encouraging when I had the RNY) feels that at my age I should just let things be as they are. I am a young looking 73 years old and very active with high energy. Anyone out there in a situation like mine.

I want to have a TT also, and I am 61. I am wondering what the difference is between an adominoplasty and a panniculectomy? I have so much excess skin that I am forced to wear stretch-type pants/shorts. Losing nearly 200lbs improved my appearance everywhere but in the stomach area, plus it is very unattractive and hard to hide. Any help from you experienced ps folks would be appreciated Thanks. rosie
