WHY IS IT????

That about the time I get use to a med that is doing the work the take it off the market? I just heard today that they are taking Vioox off the market. It is now at the time of year that I need it the most. As the weather has been changing UP North I am not able to walk as much as I need to. It is too painful. I hope that whatever they decide to put me on next will not have to build in my system before it starts working. I really need to walk walk walk. I have only did one mile the last 2 days, but I did 4 miles on tuesday. WHAT'S NEXT????? Peggy

Hi Peggy... Yeah, I heard they're going to pull Vioxx too... I heard it is causing heart attacks & strokes. I'd call your dr. right now so he can switch you to something else before the Vioxx gets out of your system. Don't let the inflammation get bad before you start something else. Your dr. will know what to do. I hope they find something that works for you. Pam PS: Good job on the walking!!

Peggy, I was on Vioxx last year right after surgery and it was wonderful but my inurance would not cover it so I switched to Bextra which is less expensive. My doc wrote me a script for twice the dosage I was to take to be taken twice a day because it was less expensive so the script is for 10 mg twice a day and I take it once a day so the script lasts me two months. Bextra worked really well for me as an alternative to Vioxx and as I said was less expensive. Good luck. Tanya
