Getting the scale to move!
Hi everybody!
It seems like whenever I whine about the scale not moving it does....and I REALLY want it to...so please pardon the whine!!! If anyone else would like to whine too, we can have a whine and cheese (string, of course!) party today, okay?
Goal is so close I can taste it!! My goal is 155. On Friday & Saturday the scale said 156.0...only 1 lb.! Well the past couple days it has read 157.2........I know I haven't gained, as I haven't eaten that many calories nor have I been working at building muscle, so I think its a temporary "water" thing......it happens to me, and as a daily weigher I know to expect it...I just want 155 SOOOOO BAD!!! Anyway, I am committed to drinking more water, getting in more cardio, and just fighting that scale down where it belongs!!!!
Anyony else like to share some whine with me?? Hopefully in a couple days we can also share that it worked!!
Kathy
Hey Kathy,
It's my first time on this board and it's good to see a familiar face. The scales are frozen here too & I am pretty sure it isn't the temp. I have been going back & forth for over a month & don't know how to get it to move DOWNWARD past 187. I want to be at 175 before the 15th so I am walking & trying to get in the protien and I always get in at least 90 oz of water so I'm pretty sure it isn't a water issue. Any suggestions? Maybe my whine will kick start things too. I am always apprehensive to say anything cause I feel if it isn't going down steadily, then I am failing. I have lost 139 pounds, but that last 25 or so is giving me a pain.
Peggy
Peggy,
Let's hope complaining helps for both of us! It seems like other times I have posted on my profile or elsewhere that my weight loss has stalled, the scale gets moving again. Here's hoping anyway!!
It sounds like you are doing great! I have heard from others that the last 20 lbs. or so likes to hang on tight and it can be a real fight to get it off. The only thing I can suggest is maybe having a protein and water only day every 4 - 5 days. This is something my doctor reccommends for slower losers to get things moving, perhaps it will help you get it moving. This is a trick I intend to use if I should get above goal...once I get below it, that is!
Good Luck! Hopefully you and I will both have progress to share in a couple days!
Kathy
Hi all,
I would like to join you "whiners" but, my scale moved 2 pounds this morning so, I am afraid to whine in case the scale moves the other way...LOL Whining MUST help because, I was whining earlier this week about being stuck at the 100 pound mark and lo and behold, I am now at -102! Only 13 to go! I have recently increased my exercise level; biking an average of 15 miles a night. So, for me, exercise has been the key factor to get the scale moving. Good luck with the whining...I may need to join you in a few days if I get stuck again!

250/148/almost there!
Okay... I'm desperate.... I'll join in on the whining!!! LOL
I've been stuck for 3 months now... I am starting to get upset about it. I think it could be my lack of exercise but I swear by the time I get home from work and cook supper, I am just pooped out. I am thinking of calling my dr. to get some blood work. Last time I went, she told me I had all the symptoms of depression and prescribed me Effexor. I really don't think I'm depressed and I didn't feel any different taking the meds except it made me really sleepy which I DID NOT NEED.
Soooo is that enough whining??? Or do i need to double up my whining?? LOL Take care gals... Pam
Can I join this pitty party too? I have been losing and gaining the same 2 lbs for a month now. I have lost about 112, but wanted to have gotten down into the "100's" by my one year anniversary in 3 weeks. I pretty much know what I am doing wrong. Too much snacking and not enough excersize- the same things that got me to over 300 lbs in the first place!
I think I am going to try the suggestion of having only protein shakes one day a week. I know my tool will still work for me if I let it!
