Hi everyone.....! Today I finially became a member of the century club!!! My goal was to hit the 100 pound mark by my anniversary...I am actually about 6 weeks ahead of my goal. I feel absolutely wonderful and would do this all over againin a heartbeat! I am thinking I would like to lose about 15 more pounds and then work on maintaining. I have a question that maybe some wise person could help me out with. Most of my co workers have been great supports and have been there for me through this whole journey. I told them that when I hit my 100 pounds mark, I would bring something in to work to celebrate...muffins or something like that. One person has been awful towards me this entire time. She is constantly nasty to me with rude comments. She thinks this "surgery thing" is the cowards way out...she says this as she is finishing her 5th donut of the morning. I have been careful not to talk about my successes when she is around...trying to be somewhat respectful of her feelings or insecurities...whatever the case is. How do I handle this "celebration" that others want to share with me?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Sorry this got so long....! Deb 250/150/so close.....!

First of all.. congratulations!! And as to the other...I say, go ahead with the celebration! Don't let her rain on your parade. You don't have to shout it from the rooftops but you can bring something in that everyone can eat, including you. I have a great recipe for Sugar Free Banana Bread if you want it... you can't even tell it has Splenda in it. It's a big hit wherever I take it. Just let me know. Pam

Congrats, Congrats, Congrats!!!!! I loved the day I hit my 100 pound mark. Now if I could just get below 200 I would be ever so happy. Three more pounds!! As for your co-worker maybe you could let her know in advance that you are wanting to celebrate your success and know that she does not approve and you did not want to exclude her but would understand if she did not want to participate. See what she says. Now since you are talking food and she has a thing for food she probably will not want to be left out. Let us know how it goes. We all will be anxiously waiting. Tanya -122

Congratulations and Welcome to the Century Club!! Who cares about your one co-worker! Maybe if you share a sugar-free treat or two she might be a little more motivated to treat her own body better!! Also, one thing I wanted to "learn" how to do was celebrating without food (something my family has always been too focused on!****lebrated my century club induction by treating myself to a 1 hour massage! I shared the joy by bringing my kids to a park and hiking a 3 mile trail we enjoy. Perhaps you could "treat" the office to a floral arrangement or plant to thank them for their support? Don't know how big your office is, but perhaps one particular flower (like rose) for each person. Include the poopoo-er in the count....at the very least she has strengthened your conviction by challenging your decision!! I don't have any great ideas on how to celebrate with coworkers without food, but thought I'd share the thought anyway! Kathy
