Are you cold?
Do you get cold easily? I just wonder how many of you still get chilled easily.
My surgeon told me several months ago that most of his patients have a
lowered body thermostat after surgery but that it quickly goes back to
normal. Mine hasn't yet.
Two things brought this to mind this week. I was driving down the
interstate with the windows down and enjoying the warmth after the
chill of the workplace A/C all day. I glanced up at the outside
temperature gage and it was 94 degrees. On another night as I
prepared for bed in my long sleeve cotton T-shirt and cotton lounging
pants my hands were
extremely cold. (We keep the A/C set at 76) Cold hands were extremely
common last winter. So I pulled on my handy Isotoner gloves and
climbed into bed. My wife laughed very hard about my gloves.
I am still very cold too. I read in a post not long ago that it may be forever. We all just have to remember to take jackets/sweaters everywhere. My family complains all the time about how hot the house is. I too have gloves beside my bed. I like to read at night and my hands are like icecubes.

Joe - you're funny! Yes, I'm eternally cold. I have my friggin' space heater (contraban) on in the office all the time. Nobody likes to come in my office anymore because they tell me they're melting!
I have come to realize and have been told by others as well that this could be a permenant thing for us. I mean lets face it, we've lost all of our insulation. Well at least I have and it's brutal. I can hardly wait to see what this next Alaskan winter holds for my incredible shrinking body! Guessing I'll be breaking out the parka and mucklucks!

I noticed being cold more in the winter than I do now that it's summer. But my family all tell me that I have changed. I am much cooler now than ever before... I was hot all the time before surgery. It's kind of nice... I'd much rather be cold than hot... we can always put on a sweater but there's only so much you can take off to get cool and still be decent! LOL Good Luck! Pam
Yep. Me too - I thought maybe it was just me. It's good to hear that it isn't. I was cold all the time before surgery, now I'm freezing most of the time. My husband calls me Lizard Woman because I like to sit in the full sun to warm up after sitting in the air conditioning all day.
In the winter I wear sweats, socks and a knitted ski hat to bed. Verrrry sexy!
