Lost 8# in July -- I have to require more of myself and work HARDER to get this weight off -- I would like to meet my goal of 190 by 1 year. At this rate I will not meet it. I am getting further behind -- I may have to just revise the goal so I am not so "tripped" out about it. Sharon Open VBG 10.28.03 5' 2" / age 37 start/today/goal 340/231.5/190 -109.5

Hello October Buddies.... Congratulations on everyone's success. You are all doing GREAT! I'm did much better in July, although I gained 2 lbs during the period week. Last week I lost those 2 pounds plus 1 more. So I am at a total of 105 lost. Things are going slower these days, but I see I'm not alone as far as this is concerned. I'm back on track with my exercise and upping my protien and water intake..so hopefully that will help. I'm a long way from my long term goal. I started at 363 lbs and I have another 100 more to go before I reach my long term goal.. So I just keep on going.. and watch it progress slowly. Maybe I should set a short term goal.. a one year goal.. It might may me feel terrific when I reach it at the end of October... The main thing is.. I'm feeling great and doing so much more living now since sugery.. Barbara Watts

Ok, here's my update. I posted a few days ago about being discouraged, but I'm feeling much better tonight. I'm at 201.5 that is -108.5 since October and -194.5 total. I'm exercising and have signed up to do a 1/2 marathon (13 miles) with my husband. Things are looking up! Jackie

Hi Everyone! Looks like you're all doing great! I just had my 9 month anniversary and only lost 4 pounds in the last month! And that's with lots of exercise! I'm a slow loser - down 88 pounds so far. I just hope I keep losing - even if it's slow. On the up side, I'm having fun in my new body. My BF surprised me with a trip to Vegas for my 30th birthday (Vegas in July - can you say HOOOOOOOOT!), and I had a blast. And in 3 weeks, I leave for a big trip to Europe. Travelling is so much nicer at this size! Jeannie lap rny 10-28-03 295/207/150

Annissa, Congrats on the Baby!!!! I know you must be thrilled and scared all at once. My friend also is pregnant, three months now. She is doing pretty good but no pregnancey is a breeze especially one so soon after major life altering surgery!!! Make sure you take your pre-natels and do what your doc says. Also keep up all updated on your progress both weight and pregnancy. Tanya -116

Hello everyone. Congratulations to us all! My weight loss has seemed very slow ever since surgery, so I am amazed that I have hit the century mark! I gained 2 lbs at the end of July, but lost 3 this week so now I am down 101 lbs, which according to Fitday is right on track. I am feeling great, but do have trouble battling the head hunger. I am so thankful for this second chance at an active life, and very hopeful that I will reach goal! Janice 320/219/180ish

I am officially 2/3 the person I was a year ago. I weighed 282 at my consult on 8/18/03 and 275 on surgery day on 10/8/03. Today I weighed 188!! Hopefully I will make it to my 100 lb loss by my 1 year anniversary. I am amazed at the things I do now! Life is good!

Hello! I haven't posted in a while! I am down 103 lbs. now, I lost 4 lbs. over the month. From 259 to 156. I weigh everyday and some days I gain a lb. then I will lose a lb. I know I need to stop that!! My life is so much better! I can wear some size 8's now, but mostly 10's. People tell me that I am radiant, I know that I am much happier and more confident now. I have started doing Winsor Pilates to try to help me get these last few lbs. off. Some days I struggle with grazing and don't get all my liquids in, but health wise........I no longer have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and my Diabetes is normal! That was my goal, not to look like a super model! Hugs to all! LaDena 10/13/03 259/156
