Hello, My weightloss buddies! I know a lot of surgery buddies who feel like they should be losing faster, or want to know why they aren't losing as fast as others. First of all, we should all be proud of how brave we are to have had the surgery. It took a lot of guts to put ourselves through the surgery and all of the pain afterward. So get those chins up. No matter how much you have lost, you should feel proud, and you should be feeling better than you did before the surgery. My major goal, was just to feel human, again. To want to live my life, and not just be an observer. I have accomplished that, so if I don't lose another pound, I will still be happy! I'm proud of the decision that I made to want to live.(literally) We should all be proud!!! We have to STOP being obsessed with numbers, and listen to OUR bodies. If you feel good, that's all that matters!!! Your weight loss buddy, Jane 362/216lbs.
Happy 2.

Hi Jane, I wholeheartedly agree with your comments. Sometimes I get stuck on the numbers and think " I have lost ONLY 93 pounds". Then I think of all the things I have done in the past year that I wasn't able to do a year ago. One of them being able to shop in the "regular" size depts. of the stores. Others are: being able to cross my legs, being able to bike 25 miles and not feel tired, training for a 10K race in the fall, fit into my teen daughters shirts, having people I haven't seen in awhile not recognize me,actually looking forward to getting on the scale at the doctor's office, weighing less than my drivers license says..just to list a few! We all have alot to be thankful for! Deb 250/157/almost there!
