First Goal Reached
8.5 months ago my goal was to reach a BMI of 29 and get to 185 by my one year anniversary. Yeah! Made it early! 185 this week! Haven't been this small for over 25 years. I'm down 132 lbs although my weight loss has slowed considerably. That's ok, really. I was getting concerned about so much loose skin and my doc recommended I try to slow down to let my skin try to catch up a bit. I added more carbs to my diet and the loss nearly stopped! So I've been on a trial and error-type diet for the past six weeks, trying to keep losing but not too much.
Also quit Curves this week. After 7 months there I was no longer able to get my heart rate up to even the 40% rate in spite of how fast I went on the machines. Couldn't even work up a sweat anymore. So now I'm gym-shopping, looking for one with a trainer who can help me try to tone up a bit and work on this tummy. (The only thing still fat)
I've assigned myself a new goal of 175...ten more pounds by my mid-Oct anniversary date. Fingers crossed. How is everyone else doing?

Congratulations, Sandra! I know you are so excited! You are doing excellent. I am still hovering. I have a sit-down job and I know that is not helping me at all. I want to lose 100 before my 1 year anniversary. I've got 3 months to lose 20 lbs... hope I can do it! Congrats again!

That is so AWESOME!!!!
You must be thrilled. I know I'm thrilled for you just reading your news and I don't even know ya!
I am at the docs goal (actually just a wee bit under it) of 150. He said he wouldn't want me to lose down to more than 135. I am currently 148. So I look at it this way. I'm just wanting 10 more pounds by the end of October.
I'm also very excited because my surgeon is making a visit to my state! Mind you I won't get a docs appt. out of the deal, but he'll see the new me and perhaps can tell me if he wants me to sto*****t. I personally do want those last 10 pounds. It's coming off SLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY now. But it's all good. 4 more months 10 pounds - easy shmeezy!!!
SAndra that is such exciting news!!! I am still 65 pounds from my goal which is 150 but my surgeons goal was 180 and I am 32 pounds from that. A long cry from the 325 I started this journey at and a heck of further than my hightest of 355. You give me encouragement that I can reach both my personal and physicians goal.
