I Need Some Inspiration Please!!!
Please do not misunderstand my Thread.I am very happy for everyone who has loss and are down to a small size. I just hear of all of these folks getting down to sizes that I can only imagine. However these folks started out almost 100 pounds lighter than me. I rarely if ever hear of any folks that were my weight or larger talking about they have gotten down to small, small sizes. So if you are out there HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME
I started out at 336 which is almost 200 pounds overweight. I would really like to hear some success stories from some heavy weighters such as myself. I know that Ms. Nae has done awesome, but who else out there that was around my weight or bigger has gotten down to a really small size. I need some inspiration because I just do not see it ever happening for me.
Thanks
Adrienne
Lady A..
Don't get discouraged. We will get there.. I started at a very high weight too. 362 I finally made it to the 100 lb loss mark just this month. We all lose at a different speed. But I believe if we just keep doing what we are suppose to be doing the weight will come off in time. I am now at 263 and I still have over 100 more lbs to lose before I get to my goal. But.. I know I'll run into plataues and the scale will not move as fast as others
sometimes. I just keep coming back here to this website and encourage myself to keep going -- eventually we will get there. When I first ventured into this I was told the average is 100 lbs in one year. It's only been 8 month (June 28th will be) and I've made it to the 100 lb mark
so.. It gives me hope and satisfaction that I have been able to do that in less than the 12 months I was prepared to wait.
Hang in there. and stick with your program... We will get to our goals
eventually. Just think of how long it would take if you did not have the surgery...

Lady A,
Keep your head up and dont get discouraged! We are all only about 9 months out so we all still got a ways to go!!!! Sometimes i think i will never make it either and i make it a point to weight myself only once a week so i actually see the scale move when that fails just pray about it but here is some insperation for you! i dont post much usually just read but i was 402 on the day of my surgery i have lost so far 184 pnds and now weight 216 went from a sz36 to a sz16 the goal weight for my hieght is 165 so 51 more to go so if it can happen for me it will happen for you! Just keep the faith!

Adrienne,
I started this journey at 396 whopping pounds. Now, I'm at 209 and still losing. When I was at 396... I don't even know what size I wore. It was the biggest and then stretched to the max. I had my first WLS in 1997 and had to be revised in 10/03; so, the journey has been long. I understand what you're saying. I can only dream of a size 12, but it WILL happen!!!!!
Hang in there,
Jackie
Darling Lady A,
I'm new to this particular board (usually hanging out in mt state board) but I HAD to respond. hey, what are friends for?
I started out at 344 pounds, 5'10". Was nothing small about me...not my a$$, my hips, my mouth nor my ego. I had open RNY 10/7/03 and to dat have lost 134 pounds. OK, so things are a bit smaller, but not where I thought they would be.
BUT I'm so much happier. I thank everyone who has participated in giving me this gift. I can run and play with my son (Mommey loves you, Ethan), I can walk with my head held high, and I can shop in any store, not just Lane Bryant (thanks for being there!).
So Adrienne (love your name by the way), hang in there. You have made phenomenal progress, and it's not over yet.
Ain't no fat ladies singing over here!
