Hi all, I just wanted to get us talking again so I thought I would ask what is the best and worse thing that has happened since WLS? Here goes mine. best - the look on my famillys face when they seen me at Easter time. They were all so very shocked. worst - that I still crave things I can not ever have again like my beloved Coke and Pepsi. Have a nice day all! Tanya -108

best: having my blood pressure taken at doctor's office with a "normal" size cuff and it being normal pressure best #2: being able to wear regular misses size clothes instead of plus sizes worst: people that I told about surgery still not commenting on my weight loss after having lost 84 lbs. worst #2: my mind still thinks I can eat a lot more than I do, at times I still cook and shop for the old me and through out a lot of food. Thanks for the thought provoking question. Carol Beck

1st Best:Getting off HBP meds and depression meds. 2nd:being able to make it thru the day w/out extreme exhaustion. 3rd:being able to shop for normal size clothes. 4th: being able to enjoy each and everyday and not feeling self consious(spelling) about being in public. Worst: having a craving for sweets, giving in and throwing it up. Having co workers scrutinize over every piece of food I put in my mouth at lunch. Cathy

Tanya, I would have to say there are many best. Bests so far, hearing people say"Oh my God is that really you, you look fabulous!", Seeing their expressions on their faces when they first see me. Being able to fit into a size 8 jeans, I would have never thought it possible. Being able to jog for 1 mile. Best, Best is no longer being diabetic or having morbid obesity health related issues. Worst is sometimes fearing this will come to an end and I will wake up from this wonderful dream come true. Blessings to all of you on your journey

BEST: 1st Best thing for me is being able to walk, stand and exercise without my lower back killing me. 2nd best for me is hearing others tell me how much they can see the results and positive changes of the new shrinking me! 3rd best thing for me is being able to stand in front of a full length mirror and not getting depressed. WORST: 1st worst for me is not being able to drink with my meals anymore. I used to love to have a nice big cold glass of ICE Water or Soft drink with my meals. It's a hard habit to break and painful.. I'll remember to wait 30 minutes after eating sooner or later.. OUCH! 2nd worst for me is the plataues and the scale not moving fast enough for me. The BEST outweights the WORST by far!!! I'm loving life! Barbara Watts Citrus Height, CA

THE BEST: Knowing that i will never be "that" big ever again. I hated having to deal with all the crap that people tossed my way just because i was MO. THE WORST: Watching the world continue to be so prejudice toward MO people. It totaly sucks when they expect me to join in their trampling of some MO person with cut downs and the "talking behind there back". I always suspected it was going on... now I know the truth... OUCH!!! Judy
