I haven't experienced the IUD. If this was a one time thing maybe it's just hormones. Maybe you should call your doc and ask him/her what could be up. Karen

Rikka, I also have an IUD and since WLS my periods have been kinda goofy too. I used to be very very very regular and now I spot for days before it actually starts and it is never on time. I think that it will pass but for now it is a pain in the ever shrinking butt. Tanya -103

I was just going to post with a concern I had. A couple (or maybe 3) months out, I got my very first shot of Depo Provera. I had heard that if you take the shot, you will stop getting a period. I soooo much wanted to stop getting my period after having had it since I was 9. Since getting the shot, I haven't lost weight at all. Has anyone else had any experience with this at all? I'm very frustrated. Since March I have only lost like 10 pounds. I definitely am NOT going back for the 2nd shot (You get them every 3 months). Well, I am exercising more, but like I wrote in another post, I'm not making the best food choices, so combine that with the Depo shot and I guess the 10 pound weight loss in 2 1/2 months is almost to be expected.

I just read your post - I am also on the Depo shot - I went on it a couple of months after WLS - I just went back for my second shot about a week ago - I was pleasantly suprised that I was down another 34 lbs. I was also concerned about not losing - I am sorry to hear that your weight loss stopped - I go back again in August for the 3rd shot and if the weight loss has stopped or I have gained any weight - I will also stop getting the shot!!
