May 04 Roll Call
Hey everyone...I don't come to this board as often as I should but do try to check in every once in a while...it's sooo good to see how everyone's doing...and you're ALL doing SOOOOO great!!!! I'm sooo proud of and for US!!!!
I just got my 6 month's (okay...actually about 6 1/2 months now) bloodwork drawn on Tuesday and haven't gotten the results yet but am anticipating that everything will be good to go. At 4 months out my protein and B12 were low. Since then i've been getting B-12 shots and have been really diligent with getting a minimum of 70 g. protein daily (usually around 85)...so I'm sure labs will come back great. I feel wonderful...no longer dealing with the constant swelling that I had when I was 362 lbs (and higher)...not easly winded and am enjoying watching my body shrink. I'm down 103 pounds as of this evening. Working out between 4 - 6 days/week and loving it!
Yay for all of us!!!!

To everyone- You are all doing GREAT!!!! Congratulations on your success!
I was on a pretty bad plateau until I kick up the protein and started working out six days a week rather than four. I have now lost a total of 83 pounds since 10/20/03 (276/193). I saw my doctor that performed my surgery and she was thrilled with my weightloss. I'm down from a 22/24 to a misses size 14. I can't believe how my body is falling into place eventhough my weightloss is very slow these days. My boobies have gone down very much so and my waist has become very defined. (I actually think that I'm a Foxy Momma these days. My doctor told me at this point she wants me to just work out really hard and to focus on toning rather than watching the scale. I am very close to my goal of 155 pounds (38 pounds to go). Since I took her advice, I have lost six pounds in the last two weeks (that's really good for me now a days). Anyway, I'm no longer stressing over the weight loss- I'm taking it all in stride and just learning to be more positive on a daily basis and to be thankful for where God has brought me.
Take care and be blessed,
Cherry
Hello October buddies.
I've hit the plataue and I feel stuck. I've lost 90 lbs. But I've been
stuck her for about a month now. I have my 6 month blood work done and
I've been told I need to take an iron supplement. I've been
feeling physically drained and maybe the low iron has something to do with it.
At least I know I'm not alone we all have our plataues and mine too will pass.
I plan on upping my protien and water intake and getting back to my
excercise program. My oldest left for the Air Force two weeks ago
and I went on an emotional roller coaster which threw me off schedule
as far as my workouts. I miss them and plan on making today the day I
get back on track.
Congrats to everyone's success.. Someday I'll be in the century club
I have faith.

Hi All,
I had a bit of a plateau as well and suddenly the weight started to go down again. I'm now down 94 lb only 7 lb away from my goal weight of 122. I also exercise regularly and this helps, like Jackie I seem to loose about 11 lb a month (except for the first month). I feel great and shopping for clothes is finally fun...
I am very grateful for this support group, it has helped me tremendously in my "blue" period. Keep up the good work!
Lucie
Tanya,
I hope you are feeling better and have achieved the century club! You're doing awesome!
Yesterday was my 7 month anniversary. I am down 110 lbs. Weight loss has been slowing...I was losing 11 lbs. a month and this past month lost 8. I guess that is to be expected, as I'm now less than 30 lbs. to goal. I just hope the 8 lbs. a month rate keeps up for at least a couple months! I'm not looking forward to the days when it gets to be only a pound or two a month! Of course, by then I'll look and feel so good I probably won't care!! I am now wearing 12's and 14's...size medium t-shirts!! I remember when I would worry that a 2XL would be too tight!!
Thank God for WLS!!!

HEY October Gang!
I am so excited about summer. I have 10 weeks to myself and i am going to the NEW GYM on base every day. I haven't been able to get to the gym to work out because of time and scheduling... BUT, "schools out for the summer" after next week. I also have access to the indoor pool.
I was 7 months on the 13th and had lost 78# at that time. I am down to 5# per month now and am eating volumes more than at first. I feel great and am in a 10 to 12 size. I am "OFF" all pre-op meds as of last month. GO me! Life is good.
I have 25# to go until i get to goal of 130, but I think i want to build in some room. I was thinking about 118 as a new goal. That way if i gain back the average of 10-15% like they say i will still be in the normal range. What do you all think?
Take care... Peaches
