Hi Yall, I have finally come to the realization, that it matters not what my Scale says. My clothes are saying it all. Now we all know how I have been seriously PIMPED by my scale. However I have cut all ties with him. My clothes are steadily getting looser and I am doing a little more exercise. I am not one of those Hawks, but I am doing what I can. However i am really starting to feel like the old Adrienne, the one that was confident and felt good and I like that. Some one in my support group Obese No More was asking for some size 32 clothes and I was in here looking for some and my husband said what is a 32? I was like the size I was in before surgery. he said he thought I was in 26's bless his heart. I was like no Baby your wife was in a 32. I had no clue just how big I was. I am now in a loose fitting 20. How can i not be happy? HUH? I mean come on. But it took me 6 months almost 7 and all of you fine folks to help me realize that I am blessed and I thank GOD and all of you for helping me to reach my REALIZATION!!!!! I Love you ALL Adrienne(((((HUGS))))))

What a fan-frickin-tastic attitude!!! YOU GO! I on the other hand am scale obsessed. I've lost weight 16 days this month. Yes, I keep track. I see it in my clothes and see it on the scale. I wish I could find the strength to release that stupid scale for a period of time. However, if that's what it takes to keep me motivated. I'm keeping it. I'm so proud of you!!! Adrienne, I know what your feeling. I was a 32 pre-op and am now a loose 20 too. Isn't it grand? I can't wait to be a loose 12! Jackie

I think that the "pants tightness test" is equal to a scale anytime. And sometimes it is more revealing. This months 6 pound loss ....I swear....was totally in my chin. No more double chin and the skin is not a turkey neck anymore either....hey, no scale will show you that! Hang in there.

Go Adrienne, Go Adrienne, it's your birthday, Go Adrienne!!! My son always sings this to me, and it makes me smile. Good for you, for realizing that we don't need the scale, ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!! We know that the weight is going to come off. One of the members of my support group suggested, measuring ourselves, once a month. She said that even though the scale may be moving slower, we're still losing inches. That way you can still see that something's happening. So, get rid of your "PIMP", you don't need him, anymore!!! Hurray, for all of us who have finally found the freedom, that we deserve! My 7 month-out anniversary is Saturday, and I couldn't be happier! I've lost 130lbs and 10 dress sizes! So, let's celebrate. Do something that you've been wanting to do for a long time. I'm going to Mackinac Island with my daughter's girlscout troop. What are you going to do? I love you to, Adrienne! Keep on , keepin' on!!! Your WL Friend, Jane

Hi Adrienne! That is weird that you posted this! I got this same realization last week! I am a slave to the scale myself and have only lost 3 lbs, so far this month(My month will be up on the 13th). On the other hand....I started doing aerobics and one morning I got up and saw myself in the mirror and thought....wow!!!! The Crunches are working! So I got out the old measuring tape and I was right.....The inches are coming off!! So, I decided Right then to stop fretting over what the scale says and keep doing what I am doing! My size 12's are gettin baggy now!!!! I can't believe I am on the verge of being a size 10!!! I wish you the best!!! LaDena Lap rny 10/13/03 259/166
