6 months out how much have you lost????
Cherry,
Thanks so much for replying! I thought I was the only one living in this hell.
All I want to do is, go get some greasy, yummy cheeseburger and fries, eat however much I can, and be a glutton! LOL....pre-op habits ya know? The "This one isn't working either so forget it, I'm going to enjoy food again!". *sigh* But I won't.
It is soooo hard to try to up calories though! Do you feel like not eating alot of the time too? I find it to really be a chore. BLAH!
I'm an at home mom, so when I get *****y I get mad at the kids for stupid reasons and end up saying I'm sorry all day....yeesh.
Guess I better just get over it and get on with it. Thanks for the prayers, I'll throw in a few for the two of us as well!
Would love to write back and forth, keep track of pur progress or even more support...someone to cry with..LOL.
Take care!
Kari
I was 6 months on the 13th. I have lost 76 total... 63 since surgery. I started out at 233 and today i am at 157. I was a size 24 and tonight i am a comfortable 14, but can get into 12's and 10's if i "squeeze". NO, i don't go out in the tight clothes... i think that is gross.
Kathy, what a fun thing to do... i got out my Pre-op clothes and dittoed your "performance". They fell to the floor...LOL. We are so blessed to have the opportunity of WLS in our lifetime.

I was 6 months post op. on the 24th. I feel absolutley wonderful and would do this ALL over again. Here are my stats. from the MD last week:
-78 pounds
- 2 inches from each upper arm
- 10 1/2 inches from my stomach
-11 inches from my hips
I started in size 22 ( pushing 24's) and I am almost into 14's. I went from a size 3X in shirts to a large; some mediums. It just gets better and better each and every day!

250/172/who knows??
I hit my six month anniversary on 4/23/04 - last Friday. I have lost 65 pounds, going from 269 to 204. I have been gaining and losing the same 2 pounds for the last three weeks (going from 202 to 204). It is very frutstrating but I try not to concentrate on the scales.
Everyone is starting to notice the weight loss and make complimentary comments. I am wearing size 16 pants loosely, can get into 14's, and can actually zip up my old size 12 Eddie Bauer jean skirt (the one that buttons at the waist - no elastic). I am wearing large or XL tops - down from 2x and 3x. I am very chesty, so even when I was 175 pounds in 1998, I still had to wear large tops. I compare all this to August of last year when I went on a cruise and bought 22-24 shorts and 3x tops.
As I stated before, I am trying not to get bummed about my current plateau. I want to be below 200 before my birthday on May 12, so I am shooting for that. My last plateau was around New Years where I stayed at 233 for weeks.
I am grateful for where I am, especially since I have not been the "poster child" for WLS. I very rarely exercise, drink my protein sporadically, and allow myself treats sometimes (treats for me are salty snacks, not sweets). I am tired all the time and my doctor put me on potassium and is checking my thyroid function. Other than that, I am happy, healthy and have not gone one day regretting this surgery.
So to all my October buddies I say - JOB WELL DONE WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THIS JOURNEY.
Remember, we have another year before we can consider the first part of our journey completed. Let's stay focused and positive. I love you all.
Hi kathy dont sweat the 100 pound mark, you will get there. Just remember the slower you lose the less skin you will have to hang. I had surgery 10-6 and have gone from 313 to 188. I thank god everyday for giving me a chance to get my life back. Congrats on your 92 pounds that is a super accomplishment.
Take care karin
