6 months out how much have you lost????
I will be 6 months out on the 29th I have lost 92 lbs so far was feeling a little upset because I don't think I am going to hit 100 lbs by then but last night I tried on my pants I wore to the hospital and they about fell to the ground and it made me think of where I have been, not how far I have to go.

Yay Kathy!!! Don't be upset because you might not hit the 100lb loss mark at 6 months. Just remember, you KNOW that you will hit that mark, soon. We didn't always know that on any diets that we may have tried. You have the right philosophy by thinking about how far you have come instead of how far you have to go. I've lost 122lbs. since October 1st. My starting weight was 362lbs. So we both have come along way. I'm going to use your philosophy when I hit a plateau. It will help me to remember what I have accomplished. Thanks, Jane
Hi Kathy, 92 lbs is awesome! Almost the century mark. I have lost 73 lbs so far - but this is only the beginning. Our window of opportunity is just cracked - we still have a whole year to go to get down to our goal. I plan on doing everything I can to help with the weight loss (eat small portions, drink water, protein & vitamins & ooooh yeeeaaa exercise) & just hold on for the ride! Life is good. Judy
Hi Kathy, You are doing awesome, keep up the great job and enjoy ever minute of it. I hit my 6 month mark on the 2nd of this month my weigh in at that time was 198. A total loss of 119 lbs. I am so amazed and so so so thankful for all the blessings weight loss surgery has allowed me to experience. Many blessings to you and all the October siblings on your continued journey.
Hi Kathy,
I was 6 months on the 16th and I have only loss 75 pounds. I am a little disgusted and feel like I will never hit 100 pounds, but hey I have to be thankful for what I have loss. It makes it real hard especially since my husband is 9 weeks post op and has loss a total of 80 pounds. I know men loose faster, but it makes it very hard, I mean very hard.

Kathy your doing great,92lbs is a really good start!!
Lady A what do you mean only 75lbs thats great could you have done it so quik w/out the surgery?Every pound you lose is a blessing so I'm sending you a great big zap to get rid of all your negativity
Asfor me I'll hit my 6 month mark on the 27th and I'm down 85lbs and not done yet.
Here's a big round of applause to all the hard work everyone has done.
I'm 90 pounds down since Oct 31! I'm only 17 pounds above the top weight the doc wants me at and 32 pounds above the bottom weight. I'm feeling good that I'm just in the teens before I hit the docs goal weight!!! YEAH!!! I'm trying to calculate when I'll be at my 100 pound mark. I've set a goal of May 21. That is when one of our sons get married and is more than the weight of one of our daughters who is 16! I want the family to see that I lost a teenager. They haven't seen me since the surgery. They're all out of state!

Hi Kathy:
92 pounds is great! What is your goal? i hit 100 pounds a week before my 5 month anniversary, but I cheated a bit... not on purpose! I was going on a cruise and I have very puffy ankles so I took diauretics. Boy those ended up making me REALLY sick! I dropped 10 pounds of water in just 4 days. Then I stopped taking the pills so the water came back on! I have no idea what I was losing fat-wise during that time so My 5 & 6 month weigh-ins are all screwed up! lol! Whoops!
My ankles are now back to their full puffiness and I am down 107 pounds which I know is fat, no****er! my 6 month mark is tomorrow. Sometimes I think about how far I have to go and get discouraged, but then I think of how far I've come, like you just said.
Hang in there!

Kathy,
I was 6 months out as of the 14th and am down 95 lbs. I too feel badly that I haven't hit my century mark yet. I have been on a plateau for the past month and am have finally decided to stay off the scale now. It is just too depressing for me. Keep up the good work! It will come off whether we look at the scale or not, right?
Congratulations on your 92 pounds gone forever!!!!! Tommorrow is my 6 month anniversary and I am down 114 pounds (started at 260 and now at 146) It feels amazing doesn't it! I told my hubby recently that my new birthday is Oct. 22. Although that just means I get to get b-day presents 2 times a year now! LOL! Again Congrats on your success!
