What's Next?
OK folks. We have all been throught a lot in the last 6 months. Where do you see yourself in 6 months from now? What are you doing to get there? How will it be different from the last 6 months?
In 6 months I want to be somewhere in the 150's. It is 25 pounds away, but since I have slowed down drastically it may be hard. I want to finally get over my inconsistance about exercising. I enjoy it now more than I have ever before, but I am still too lazy to go consistantly.

I want to be invisible. What I mean is that for so many years people have stared at me 'cause I was fat. Now that I've lost 110 lbs, people are always looking and commenting on how much better I look. I want all this part to be overwith...don't want to be the object of attention. I want to look normal and walk into a room without anyone staring...in other words, be invisible. Don't want to be looked at anymore for any reason.

6 months tomorrow!
Sandra, I'm with you there. Every Sunday at church people stare at me. I know I would probably do the same thing. This one guy calls me flaka. That means skinny lady. I know it is a compliment, and he means well. Easter Sunday was weird because people came who hadn't come for a long time. They all freaked out. I guess it was fun, but I do wi**** would stop. My son, who had the surgery in December is coming home from college in 2 weeks. I know he will get some reactions too. He is pretty quiet, so he will want to get newness overwith soon. Karen
In 6 months I am going to my first NASCAR race at Talledega. I am so excited and I would really like to be down to 225 but at the rate I am going now, I think that may be unrealistic. I will be seeing my brother then and probably not before(seen him at Christmastime), so I would love to be able to not be recognized by him and also to weigh less than him which would be a first in our lifetime!! (he weights 240 right now). To be able to go to a race in the past would have been impossible because of the walking that is involved. I have been at a plateau for the past month, but I have started walking a couple of extra times a day on the treadmill this past week. I am fighting with a nut problem (lol) I have gotten hooked on sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds and mixed nuts so I guess I better start leaving them alone (I eat them instead of a meal -they do have protein). It seems like most people will have the main part of their weight off in one year, but since I am older, I think I will probably be struggling with it still.

Great question...where would I like to be in 6 months. I'd like to have lost about 75 more pounds and be down around my surgeon's goal for me which is a BMI of 30 or less. I'd like to have completed a 5k run/walk or two. One of my biggest dreams is to some day run/walk a marathon. I so badly want to be a runner. Running is something that I can't really remember ever doing. I've been fat since I was about 9 years old so my childhood memories are mostly after the weight issues started. In about another 20 pounds or so I am planning on starting to run a little on the treadmill at the gym and we'll see how that goes. I would love to be wearing a size 14 - 16 (normal 14/16 not 14/16W).

I want to have a normal BMI and get moving with an exercise program on a regular baisis. I want to weigh 124 (I am 5'1) and fit into a size 6-8 comfortably. I "crammed" this body into a 10 capri pant over the weekend and got it zipped up. VERY tight, but did it... LOL. I think the 8 will be do-a-ble if i get moving soon and QUIT grazing.
