Hi! I had mine Oct. 30 2003 and am down 85 lbs. Have gone from a size 28 to a size 16/18 ... 18s kinda big 16s kinda tight. I am wondering how everyone's appetite is? Mine seems to have increased lately and was wondering if this is normal or not. I also seem to have been stuck on the same # for about 2 weeks. Congrats to everyone!

Hello Everyone, WOW! It seems as if everyone is doing great........except me. I have lost 71 pounds since Oct. 20, and I am getting very discouraged. I do exercise, I always have. My doctor told me that is probably why my weight loss seems slow to me, he actually thinks I'm doing great. I am averaging between a 1-2 pound loss each week. There have even been a few weeks when I didn't lose anything at all. I am trying to stay positive, as long as it's going down and not up. I really could use some encouragement and maybe some new ideas for food. I mostly eat grilled chicken breast or protein bars and shakes. I do try to have a bit of fruit and vegetables each day. I have started having the muchies again. It's as if I can't get satisfied. I know I'm not hungry but I have munched on cheese nips a few times and I love baked Doritos. I will put just a few in a bowl and put the box away. Still I know the carbs are BAD! Help! Any suggestions would be great. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Sheila
Happy 2.

Hello everyone, When I started this journey I was a solid 28. Now I am a effie 14. Meaning I can wear some size 12s. I have lost a total of 95 pounds. Which is amazing. I also feel my appetite is growing. Which is scarey. I am so excited though that we all only have one way to go and that is down. SO lets give ourselves a and a pat on the back we all deserve it. CONGRATULATIONS.

Congratulations to all my October siblings on your awesome achievements I weigh in once a month on my anniversary and I weighed in last night and I lost another 10 lbs which brings me to 198!!!! I am so excited to be under 200. I don't even know when I was under 200 I think I was a teenager. I just started fitting in a size 12 jeans and 14 dresses. I am so thankful to be blessed with this surgery. Blessings to all of you.

Everyone seems to be doing so well! I started this on October 2 and was 302 that morning and now weigh 192, that's 110lbs down. My goal is 150. I have just started excercising again since I had hernia surgery 4 weeks ago. I started wearing a 26 and now can fit into a size 16. My jeans are still an 18 since it bothers me to wear something close fitting on my incision since it basically was the entire orginial incision that herniated. I am planning a trip to Florida in the middle of June and would love to be a size 14 by then, maybe even a 12. I haven't seen my sisters in two years and she is freaking out just by my most recent picture so it will be nice to see her in person. Erin

I am doing so much better than the first few months that we started this journey. I started out at 397 but got down to 362 by surgery and now after a long plateau, this morning I weighed 278. Oct 22 I was wearing a 38W pants and 5X top, now I am into a 3X and also 26/28. I have had 3 strictures, but since the last one have been able to eat alot more different foods, but still chicken is not my friend. I do really good with almost any type of pork, even BQ. I walk on the treadmill and that's it for exercise, but before surgery I could not hardly walk to the bathroom, let alone walk outside. A couple of weeks ago I went to a large mall for the first time in more than 7 years. Also I seen my lung doctor for the first time since surgery and he was impressed with the sound of my lungs and that I am off all lung meds (have asthma and had COPD and start of emphesema). I have so much more energy than I have had in years. Marilyn Lap RNY 10/22 362/278 -84 lbs

Wow, everyone is doing awsome!!! I joined the century club last month and then right after that weight loss has practically STOPPED! I'm doing much better getting protein in and am faithfully working out 5 times a week. Stress at work is building up and I am also planning a move cross-country from Massachusetts to Oregon. EEK! I can eat quite a bit more now finally, but still very little compared to others at this stage. Still no meat and very very rarely can I keep fish down. Overall things are pretty good. The head games are tricky (body image) but I'm hoping to work on those with a WLS psycologist in the near future. Everyone keep up the good work!! Amy Lap RNY 10-22-03 349/244/190ish
