I had my surgery 4 months ago and have lost 63 pounds. Everyone says that I look different but I haven't seen any significant changes in the clothes I have. I wore a size 30-32 and now I wear a 26-28. Does that sound right? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You dropped two sizes at least. I'm sure you feel better. I have dropped two also. My surgery was Oct 24th. I feel great. My most noticable place is in my face though. Karen

Angela, You go girl, you are doing great. Don't think that your dress size might not have gone down enough, just keep in mind how far you have come. It's not over yet, and there is so much to enjoy and be thankful for. Many many blessings to you on your journey.

Hi Angela, I know just how you feel! I have lost around 80 lbs. and have only went down from a 26-28 to a 22-24. It is very fustrating. I went to my support group on sat. and mention this, and quite a few people said that had happen to them. They said not to worry it will come off, just give it time. My support group is great! I hope this helps you, I know it made me feel a lot better. Susan

Angela, You really can't judge your progress on dress sizes. When I was at 396 lbs. I wore a 34+ .... when I had my revision at 314, I wore a 32. Now, at 237, I wear a 20 - 22 (mostly 22). One of the things that I noticed is that in the larger sizes (30's) ... the sizes are not consistent from one brand to another and I was mostly wearing things that had lycra in them... so, who knows what size I had them stretched out to. The other thing I noticed is that now that I can wear things that don't stretch... I can't stand it if anything is tight (not even a little). As we lose weight and get into more normal sizes... the variation won't be as great; though I understand that there is still some variation. I don't know how tall you are, but I understand that taller folks take longer to show the drop in clothing sizes too. Hang in there. 63 lbs is terrific. Jackie
