First Time Here
Hi October buddy - welcome aboard. I come to this site every once in a while, most of the time I stay on the main board. I had my surgery on 10/23 and started out at 269 (I am 5"6). I was wearing a size 22W bottoms and 2-3X tops. Today, I am 212 and am wearing size 16 regular pants and XL tops (though since I am so well endowed, I sometimes still have to get 1X).
Anyway, I say all this to say that weight loss has not been phenomenal since I have only lost 57 pounds in 4+ months and sometimes I get very discouraged when I read on the board about people losing 50 pounds in a month or two. But I also realize that they must have started out larger than me so of course the weight would drop faster.
I just try to stay the course. But I have one question. Being this far out now, is anyone else always hungry. I find myself having to struggle with not eating all the time and if I am not careful, I seem to be able to pack away a lot of food. For example, I used to be able to eat only 1/2 of a Subway Atkins wrap, now I find I can eat the whole thing most times and not feel the sick overfull feeling. And, though I am not a sweets person, my old demon is salty snack foods and it has been really had to resist the Utz potato chips and the new Fritos honey bar-be-que twists.
Can you guys give me some advice on how you deal with it. Most of the time I do resist cause I know the result is weight gain (I have gotten on the scales a few times after a salty binge and actually gained a pound or two).
Whoa, I know this post was supposed to be about welcoming Adrienne to our site, just got a little of track.
Welcome, welcome, welcome.
Hi Toni... I can relate, my hunger has come back and I find I crave the sweets. I am trying to keep the protein high since whenever I have a carbohydrate I seem to be even more hungry. Congragulations on the weight loss.... I am down 52 pounds in 4 1/2 months, a little slow , but its 52 pounds less than I was 4 months ago. Keep up the great work!
