I am having thoughts that this is not working! I feel hungry all the time and sometimes I can eat over the recommended amount of food and not even get sick! I try not to do that but it's very hard!...HELP!! Please.

Amber, if you don't mind me asking what are you eating? how often are you eating? make sure you eat/drink protein first then wait a few minutes. the fullness come very shortly after you are finish eating.

I have been staying on the shakes for breakfast and lunch during the week and having 3 oz of canned chicken or some kind of meat and a vege. or a chick salad from subway the last 2 nights i have been having homemade chicken soup. I eat 3 meals a day....sometimes like an hour after I eat (if i do get full), i am hungry again. I do get the protein in first and then the rest of my food. Any other suggestions? Thank you for your response...

okay, it's sounds like you doing great, just keep in mind that soup is more liquid than solid so you will consume more. try drinking your shakes more often to replace food and in between drink plenty of water because sometimes when we think we are hungry your body is really thirsty. Drink your water from the time you wake up until you go to bed.

Amber, are you drinking enough water???? Water always fills me up. Also, I think you might just want to try doing one shake in the morning and do some food protein like hamburger, chicken, tuna, egg salad, chicken nuggets with a salad. I have an Atkins shake in the morning for breakfast and the times I have gone and had another one for lunch I feel famished. I think those protein drinks burn quicker in our bodies than real food protein leaving us hungry alot quicker. This is just a guess on my part but I feel much fuller all day when I do one shake and 2 regular protein meals with some veggies or fruit. I wish you all the best in your journey. Don't get discouraged, stay focused on your goal and all the blessings to come from your accomplishments. Blessings to you!!!

I'm 10 weeks post-op and I can definitely relate to what you saying. I keep thinking that this is not working. Sometimes I think our mind plays games on us. Just keep hanging in there. Eat slow and give yourself that chance to feel the fullness and drink, drink, drink (this is what I am told-LOL).
