I am home, and I wanted to say congratulations to all of us who made it through to the other side in October of 2003!!! The journey has been long and rough, but when the day is done we will be healthier, happier, lighter people! Cheers!

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!! This was a tough journey and I do feel all down hill in comparison to what the past has been. I am just 2-1/2 weeks post op myself. The first hurdle was getting past the surgery and the next was hoping for no leaks or major problems. So far, so good! I just started soft foods which is a little tricky as far and making sure that I am not putting more than 1 bite within a few min at a time in my mouth. I have lost 18# in 2-1/2 weeks which is amazing to me. Good luck on your journey, Linda from Schereville, In

Congradulations back to all of you. Hasn't this been a ride that you are so glad your on. I know mine started out pretty bumpy but it is getting a lot easier all of the time and Wow I am already seeing good results. I am a little mystified though because before my surgery I absolutley loved food and lived for that next meal and no food isn't fun any more, it seems almost like a chore to me. I am hoping I will eventually begin to enjoy eating some things again but it just seems so strange that this surgery could change my attitude towards food so much. Isn't life wonderful tough????? Hugs to all of you... Barb
