OCT 28 is my DAY... :)

Good Morning. My sugery is quickly approaching. October 28th is my big day. I had my pre-op visit with my surgeon yesterday. Found out that I have Gal Stones present and he will be removing my gal bladder too. This makes me more nervous I am sure that it has been done routinely as part of the surgery when it is needed, but I am still very scared. What does this mean as far as pre-op? with this extra proceedure, will recovery take much longer? Will what I can eat (when I am at the stage when I can eat) be effected by this? My sister had hers removed years ago and suffers from gas and indigestion. Should I expect the same? I'd like to hear from anyone who has had to have their gal bladder removd with the WLS so I can prepare myself for what I might encounter. Thanks.. Best of Wishes to everyone getting ready to have their surgery and Congrats to everyone on the post-op. I'll be joining you soon. Barbara Watts
