I got a date!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am scheduled for surgery on 11/6. I am just a little nervous but I guess that is to be expected. I am having the Lap RNY. I keep thinking about the pain. I am ready for a new start. Any information for the group would be very much appreciated.

Hi Linda...just to let you know it is normal to be nervous...I had nightmares about my surgery but when I was wheeled into the surgery room I was clapping and smiling big at my parents because I knew I would never be the same again, and I haven't been. I had the open RNY, and I wasn't myself for about 8 weeks but i've heard that the lap RNY is much less painful and less introusive (sp?). You will be in my prayers...good luck and keep us updated!!
