Me and a couple of people I know like the Pure Protein shakes made by Worldwide. GNC seel them, and they come premade in a can. 35 grams of protein and only 2 grams of carbs. They have banana(my fave). chocolate, cappaccino, vanilla, and strawberry. I searched and searched and finally settled on these. I drink one every morning for breakfast.

not sure at what point your doctor would tell you its ok...but....yesterday in the chat room someone had said that www.leanprotein.com has a protein snack that is delicious. not a drink but a snack packed with protein. my surgery is 10/31 and i am going to try it when its ok. i am glad to see how well you are doing......its a great comfort since i am getting the pre op jitters now.

We must have had surgery the same day! I asked my dietician about the protein shakes and she told me that I didn't need them if I was getting the protein from the food that I am eating.

Congrats on the super job!!!! It took me 3 months to find a protein shake that I could stomach. I used the Atkins drinks for months. They are low carb and low sugar and taste decent. I know drink EAS Carb Control protein drinks. I get them at Wal-Mart and they taste good. I am 1yr 2 mo post-op and have lost 120 lbs and have went from a 22 to a size 8. Keep up the good work and remember that it is worth it. Kim

Hi Della I'm still pre-op and all but I went to vitalady.com and purchased sample of the protein shake so I can sample when the time is right and the samples were just $1.89 each not bad. I hoping to find some that I like. Check it out! I hope I help. Congrats on being on the losing side. Good Luck.

Hi Della, I am 21 days post-op and I drink Pro-Complex chocolate from GNC you can get 55grams of Protein. Also Atkins Chocolate Royale is good to with 20 grams of Protein. I also just got Atkins Vanilla and blended it with a banana Yummmy. I hope this helps you. My doctor wants my protein intake to be up to 60grams at 4 weeks. I don't see how I can eat enough to do that so the shake are the only way for me. Blessings.
