9 Days to wait. Husband thinks HE is having the surgery

He is very concerned about how the surgery will affect him. Family members are coming he doesnt like. He tld me I should invite them up a week after the surgery when everything is over, that all I need is right here. My Mom lives 12 driving hours away. So does my brother. Anyone else have this problem? Do you just lock them in a closet?

Hi, The only way it will effect husband it will change your life to the better. He will be happy that you will not endure the pain & agony that you have gone thru in the past. I definitely would not invite any family members over until 3-4 weeks after wls.- I guarantee that you will not be interested in entertaining after one week. At this time you will be feeling much better. Remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. Things will get much better at that time. I had surgery on 4/25/03. Ed Pol. - Pa.
