Only 21 more days and a wake-up till the rebirth of my life. I'm really excited but also kind of nervous. Haven't been in the hospital to stay in over 30 years. Any one else out there having surgery on that day, e-mail me. We can celebrate this together.

Hi Bonnie I'll be starting my new life on 10/22/03 as well and I would love to celebrate with you and anyone else who shares our date. Bonnie I wish you an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery. I can relate with the nervousness, I have been feeling nervous through out the day when I think about the WLS however I know it sounds crazy I'm excited at the same time. LOL anyway I'll be praying for you and I know GOD will guide us both through this process. Stay in touch so we can celebrate HUGS

Me too!! The 22nd is going to be the start of a whole new life for us, at least for me because I have been obese since I started grade school and I will be 56 the end of Oct. I pray that we all have a safe and uneventful surgery and a very easy recovery. If you want to chat I am mares1030 on AOL/AIM Marilyn 10/22/03

Bonnie, I wish you all the best......my date for the surgery is the day after yours, the 23rd! However, I'm getting a little worried because once I decided to have the surgery and actually set the date..... I called the insurance company at the suggestion of the gal in the surgeon's office, and now I'm a little bummed out about it. It took me so long to make this decision, and I know I truly need it.......but as of this min I don't know if it's going to be approved. They told me to call back during the middle of the week (the insurance co) to see if I will be covered. I've paid premiums for this insurance for 25 years now. Amazing, isn't it! All they have to do is look at the claims I've had with the doc visits and the lab work and they'll know......Tell me I have nothing to worry about ;) I'm also 56, just like the gal that's having the surgery the same day as you are. At this stage in my life, I know that I'm on the brink here, trying to keep the teeter-totter balanced, and know this can only help my future. Keeping my fingers crossed....for all of us!
