Pre-op tests go down in history

Well, I made it through my pre-op testing....and to be quite honest...it was quite an entertaining day for me. The only absolute horrid part of the day was the drive to the hospital and back.....I mean....HELLO>>>COULD THERE BE ANYMORE PEOPLE DRIVING IN CARMEL???? I was okay with the urine test...even though I had to pee in one of those little medicine cups that comes on top of cough syrup...you know what I mean...*wink*....the blood test...well...how okay can you be with someone taking 6 viles of blood and not even getting a cookie after? I mean...geesh...even with a sophisticated dna test...all they really need is a strand of hair....lol The gall bladder ultra sound...was NOTHING like getting one when you are pregnant. Okay now, chest xrays...possibly the easiest of the lot....next to the ekg...the upper GI...LOVELY....White Vomit Juice with a side of burbing crystals for good measure....Can we all say RALPH???...okay okay okay...it wasn't all that bad I guess...I mean I was hungry...and thristy...and...it was just like mom use to make.....*wink*....off to do my breathing tests....I scored an 80%...hey...that is passing!!! I will take it....heheheh......all in all...the day went well....and I met some pretty interesting people along the way....out of this experience...I take with me...oddly....a large sense of relief...I actually feel at peace with having this surgery....because those who aided in giving me my various tests shared a little piece of their knowledge.....I guess you could say they spoke my language......I am now ready. Thanks for everyone's support on here. You are truly a blessing!

Hi, I am glad your pre op went well. After I got my date now, I am worried something will go wrong with the pre op tests. I think the process just leads of from one worry to the next though perhaps. Good luck in your journey!
