Have to lose 10 lbs by my surgery 10/06/03 to qualify for Lap
Hey guys I didnt know that this message board was here. I am happy to see you guys. I have my surgery date on 10/06/2003. My surgern doesnt require that you lose weight but I am on the verge of 50bmi and my surgen wont do lap only I will have to have it open and I really dont want that. I have to get down to at least a loss of 6-10 lbs to do that. I am having the hardest time. Wanting to have that last dinner syndrom. I bought protien shakes so I was going to do those twice a day with a non carb dinner, chicken and veggies. But man I am dying over here. Anyone give me advise? Thanks for all your help. take care everyone, Kelly
Kelly,
I changed from having lap to open because open takes less time and gives the surgeon a better field of vision. My opinion is the less time you spend under anesthesia, the better. There is always a chance that if they start the procedure lap it may have to be converted to open anyway. Then you counld end up with 6-8 small incisions and one big one. Who wants that???? I hope this makes you feel a little better about having open. Good luck and God Bless. BTW--My surgery is October 30th.
Hi Kelly first let me congratulate you for the new life you are about to start in a few days you will start a new birth secondly I wanted to reply on what you were asking before all i would like to say is that as hard that it may seem the beauty you will be is what matters deep inside your heart you have the strength and I know you can do it so just lower the intake on the carbs and you will literally see the difference which means the pasta, rice, bread, beans, cookies, cakes, icecream, soda, juice, chips etc .... you can have tunasalad, fishsalad, bakedchicken, porkchopsorbeef with certain low in carb vegetables and drink diet sodas or none carbjuices or low carb juices well good luck and let me know how everything turned up.Godbless BrendaMontanez
