Hi everyone! I don't post often but feel like I could use some support and thought others might also benefit from it. I'm a pretty happy person most of the time, but I sometimes feel depressed since the surgery and I feel "not quite right" a lot of the time, if you know what I mean. I thought it would be fun to read everyone's stats. I had RNY surgery on 10/08/03. I started at 248 and am at 154 now. I had been down to 134. I need to get back to exercising and watching what I eat to get it back off. How are the rest of you doing?

Hi there everyone. I have not been on the boards for a long time - in the beginning I was here daily. I had my surgery on 10/23/03 and lost down to 184 which was fine for me cause I was wearing 12 and 14's down from 22/24. Over the last few months my eating has gotten out of control and I have gained back 30 pounds and am now over the dreaded 200 pounds. I even resorted to going back to my diet doctor (though he does not know I had surgery) to get diet pills. I stopped doing that though, kind of made me feel totally defeated. After getting on the scales and seeing 216 on Sunday, I have made a concerted effort to stick to proteins and water - trying to shock myself back on track. I have removed the Fritos, chips, hersheys and other bad foods from my nighttable where I was munching through them every night. All this being said, it has made me feel good to come back "home" to the Board and see that my anniversary sisters are in the same boat. Not that I am happy that we have gained, but I it does make me understand that I am not a total failure. Maybe if we used this forum more often to vent and question, maybe we can all make strides toward relosing the weight. We all went through way too much to go back to where we were. I have a girlfriend who had surgery right before me and I think she is larger now than before. I can't let that happen to me. So ladies, spring is on the way. Let's make a pact to lose at least 20 of the pounds back before our anniversary in October. It is doable - is anyone else game!!??

But since then I stay around 156-158 depending on the time of the month..I went from a size 28 at lane bryant to a size 8.The only exercise I do is dancing when I go out and roller-skating and chasing my 4 yr old nephew around..How's everyone else doing?...

Hello everyone, my surgery was on 10-6-03 and I was a total sucess story going from a top 294pds down to 134pds in 2 yrs with no complications at all. Needless to say in the last year or so i am back up to 200pds. I can eat anything and everything and I am sod epressed over it. So I am now seeking a revision. I went for a consult and my doctor said my pouch might have grown back onto my stomach and reopened to form the old stomach I use to have. He says it happens alot in gastric bypasses done 6 yrs or more ago. Never heard this before has anyone else? So I am going for a upper GI tomorrow to check it out and if it has he will do a revision on my RNY so I will start from square one again. I just wanted to tell you that maybe if you are regaining go have a upper GI done and see if this is happening to you too. I will keep you all posted.
