Does anyone have Duke Select insurance? If so have to tried to go through the procees only to be denied? If so what did you do about it? I am trying to help my mom who has this type of insurance. So any advice for her would be awesome. Thanks Lori

Holly, I had hit my first "real" stall also. I was at the same weight for the past 2-3 weeks. Finally, this past Tuesday I jumped on the scale and it went doen 4 lbs. My surgeon had told me last week that I needed to slow my weightloss down and I guess my body listened to her and slowed down. I know I haven't exercised in the past few weeks and have been snacking on foods so I have no excuses to why I stalled but for some reason the scale moved again and I am happy. I am going to get back on the ball again...I slipped off the track once and I am going to TRY to avoid doing it again... JaNae

I'm right there with you all.. I've been 180-185 for weeks now. I thought that maybe I'd been eating too much, but gosh, how can we really be eating too much? Since we are all about the same time frame out, this stall must be "normal" I just wish I knew when the loss kicks back in! Janet 248/180/160

Hey there sweetie! I just had the surgery March 15th 2006. I'm down 37 lbs. I feel great. And honestly, It doesnt even seem like I had it done. I have more energy and My feet hurt less. I still have about 98 lbs to go, But I know I will get there in time. Its a day by day process. You dont lose 20lbs overnight LOL. If you want, read my profile. It will help you out. talk to you soon Kimberley GOOD LUCK~

hi there! thanks for writing back. How have you done with your weight loss? have you maintained? gained? I started at 352...got down to 214 (for about a Day!) and then stayed at about 219-224 for the longest time.... just this past fall/winter i popped up to my highest of 236 (freaked me out)...and now i'm on the down slide again (with work!!) and about 229..... it sucks... got out my last years summer clothes and they are tight!! ugh! HOWEVER...bought me an ipod, a pedometer and the Marathon book by Jeff Galloway and am doing training to do a 1/2 marathon.....(don't want to start with a full one...that kinda scares me)... and then I'd eventually like to do a mini triathalon! (that has always been a dream ya know?) Hope all is well with you! ks

Kristin, Hi right back! Well, I busted butt and made it to goal....313 down to 140. I kept myself nicely between 140 - 145 for a year. This winter I really struggled with seasonal depression (a problem here in Michigan) and discovered I can tolerate sugar. Today I weigh 168, which really stinks. None of my summer clothes fit! I have joined a group of ladies at work who are doin weekly weigh-ins, attempting to trim a bit before summer. At first I was motivated, but am really struggling again. My stress level is sky high, and I'm just not focused. I'm very frustrated and disappointed in myself! I made the choice for this summer to forgo my golf league in favor of a gym membership and my support group...now I just need to actually go to the gym! Good for you on the half marathon!! I wish we lived closer...I would be game for something like that. When I was walking regularly, I had started running intervals of my walk in order to get my heart rate up. I had thought about trying to increase my runnning stretches to see if I could get to the point of being able to at least do a 5K this summer. I could really use the self esteem boost of accomplishing something like that! I'm not familiar with the book you are using....so how are you preparing to do the 1/2 marathon, and when are you hoping to do it by? Good luck to you!! Kathy
