ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE I HAD SURGERY AND I HAVE LOST 125 POUNDS!!! IT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST BUT MOST REWARDING THINGS I EVER DONE. I HAVE MY SELF CONVIDENCE BACK AND I NO LONGER FEEL LIKE AN EMBRASSMENT TO MY FAMILY.

YEAH! I can't believe it has been a year. I am thrilled with my results and know I will be even happier after my cosmetic surgery in January. I will have my chin, arms, breasts, stomach, and thighs done.
This experience has changed my life in more ways than I ever dreamed! I'm not sure my husband knows who he is married to anymore. So much has happened in the last year including our relocation to California. I have a whole new life thanks to Dr. Appel!

Congratulations!! I had surgery on the same day and am down 141 pounds....doesn't it feel great!!!

I can not believe that 1 year ago today I was 230 pounds waiting to go under the knife.
Wow, never did I think I would be a size 8 one year later!!!!!!!!

I can't believe almost a whole year has gone by. So much has changed for me. I just got home from a business trip with my husband. We went to Bethesda, MD. He spent his days in his class. I was on my own all day. I went to the National Zoo, The Smihsonian and the Montgomery Mall. This required a lot of walking. I also went to the gym three times(I belong to Curves and there was one in Bethesda).
Withou the surgery I would not have been able to do any of the things that I did. I probably wouldn't have gone.
I want to thank Dr. Tenewitz and his woneful staff for my new life.

Hi my surgery was on Oct 11,th 2002 also. I weighed 288 on that day , today I weigh 182 for a total of 106lbs lost. I work out daily doing Taekwondo, so I have built a great deal of lean muscle. I am also proud of what I accomplished this year, I competed in an International Womens Taekwondo Tournament in South Korea, took 5th in the world for my age group. I have gold medals here in the state of California, this all would not be possible if it wasn't for the surgery, it is truly amazing, before surgery I could barely walk and when I did I hurt so bad. I was living on over the counter pain meds. I had a great recovery from surgery, I see myself as being very lucky.

Happy Anniversary to us,happy anniversary to us,happy anniversary to all us skinny little bums,happy anniversary tooooooo uuuuussssssss!!!!!!! Wahooo!! What a difference a year makes..I had my surgery on October 11 and I weighed 280 on that day(I had lost 20 before that ) Today I weigh 159 for a total of 141..I have to say that I am proud of myself for what I have accomplished this year..This surgery is truly amazing...October 11 is my wedding anniversary also, so needless to say I didn't feel like celebrating..(MY immediate postop experiance was painful and scary for me) so this October 11 me and my Tommy boy will be livin it up!!! ......so to all..... happy 1st birthday on your new life!!! luv to you all ......Anne Bartoloni
