I can hardly believe its just been a lil over one year. I actually c ant stop losing weight now. My pants are a size 2 very comfortably and my tops XS. Its funny because i remember not being able to find things large enough in the styles i liked, now i cant find things small enough. Very frustrating. I am tiny . WOW i cant believe it. Email me with any questions or comments please. Thanks. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU IN MY SHOES TOO> HUGS N KISSES TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME AS WELL>

I am 13 months post-op and I'm down 210 Ibs. I still need to lose another 45 Ibs to get to my personal goal. I hope by next summer I will be at goal. It has been an amazing first year at times it is kind of overwhelming, but I am truely enjoying myself. I feel anyone willing to make a committment to themselves to change their life should have this surgery.

It's a slow process, but I continue to lose weight gradually. I still have problems occainsionally with blockage, but find that hot tea invariably helps. Best wishes to all of you working on improving your health! - Benny

Topic: RE: October 2002
I just absolutely Love reading all of the posts that people share on this site. And I truly enjoy the profiles -- at first I was afraid that I was the only one who felt the way many of us apparently do/did.
Anyway ... I am just past my one year surgical anniversary date. I had open RNY on 22 October 2002. My weight the day of surgery was 570 pounds, and I am currently at 279 (as of this morning). A total loss of 291 pouns thus far! I still feel as though I should/could lose an additional 40 pounds. And I am now healthy enough to "participate" in my weight loss via excercise.
I just sent my pics (before and after) to the site. I hope that they will be up in my profile soon.
I would say to all of us "keep it up", however I feel it would be more appropriate to say, "Keep it down everybody."
Smiles and health to all.
