Mary, I know it is hard work, all of us who have had the surgery know the dedication needed to make this work, but we who have done it are shall I say brave and wonderful people, who beleive in ourselves and know that with faith anything is possible. I myself had surgery last Oct 3, 2002 and was 245lbs pre-op and now am 126lbs post op. Best wishes to you.

I am so happy for you. I too am 10 1/2 months post op. I am down from 245lb to 126lbs. I have maintained 126lb going on two months now. I guess my body is content with this weight and I am just fine with it. I wish you luck on your last few pounds that you are going to lose. Believe in yourself. It will happen. God Bless

I'm here to say thanks to everyone who has walked me through everything that I've been through. I still have an infection but I'm a whole lot lighter. 116 lb. so far. From a sz.32 to sz.14. Had an Open VBG cut. I have another 36lb to shed. I'm confident I can do it. Ruth

Hi Mary I'm 10 months out and 116 lb less. I had a few complications with a M.S. relapse and diverticulitis and infection. I still feel great. I have 34 more to go. I'm now in a size 14 from a size 32. I had a Open VBG because of my other health issues. Not sorry at all. You keep going girl. Ruth.

Topic: 10 months out the 22nd, new P.O. for tummy tuck/hernia repair
Hi, I had my 10mth anniversary on the 22nd of Aug. I had a hernia repair with full tummy tuck on the 18th. I am down from 268 to 148!! My life has changed dramatically. I still cant believe its my body when I look in the mirror. I'm definetly in for a shopping spree as soon as I heal from this tummy tuck. By the way I didn't ask for a tummy tuck. I went to my surgeon for a huge hernia, and he said the tummy tuck goes with the hernia repair!! So I got a flat very tight (too tight at the moment) stomach at the same time. I wish GOD'S blessings on all that are awaiting surgery. GOD bless you all today, tommorrow, and always~~~

Hi everyone! I'm almost 11 months post-op and have lost 113 pounds. I don't remember my roommate's name but am wondering if she posts to this message board. I'm curious about her progress and hoping all is well with her. I had surgery at BTC - Forest Health Medical Center in Ypsilanti MI on October 9, 2002--anyone else out there with that same surgery date and place?

Congratulations Windy! I'm 10 months postop and down 124-1/2 pounds, smaller than I have ever been now that I'm in a 12. Feeling great. You'll be a big support for your brother and his friend. My roommate had the surgery 2 months ago and has lost 55 pounds. I enjoy being able to help her. Take care. Carol

Hi Marty, 10 months for me too. I've lost a total of 124-1/2 pounds and am holding pretty level now. Hypertension and diabetes are gone. I feel just great. I'm sorry to hear you have had and are having some problems. I have had none. I guess I'm really fortunate in that way. Isn't life great!!

Hello All, It's been ten months since my surgery. Last time I weighed myself, I had lost 118 lbs. That was a couple of weeks ago. I'll have to check myself again soon. It feels good to have lost weight, my health has improved a lot. There are still problems but the pain has lessened. Happy Anniversary to all of you October celebrants!! Hugs
