Hi, everyone! I would love to hear from anyone who is almost 2 years out, and if you are having a difficult time getting your last 10 pounds off. Also, have any of you this far out had plastic surgery to remove your loose skin. I have lost a little over 160 pounds, and I feel great. I am so blessed to have had this surgery. I am definitely a different person than I was 2 years ago! Linda Groce

Linda, I had my RNY on October 1, 2001. Have lost 110 pounds and am now recovering from hernia repair and tummy tuck done on 8/28/03. I still need to lose about 25-30 pounds, but if I don't lose another pound, I'm happy where I am. As soon as the swelling goes down and the pain goes away, I'm sure this latest procedure will be worth it. BTW, my insurance covered!

Hi Linda, congrads on your wonderful weight loss, I will be 2 years this coming week Oct 15, 2001, can't believe it, where did the time go? What a wonderful blessing we have had to be able to have this surgery. When I read of the struggle so many have with the insurance co etc I can't believe it is over for us. I had the tt/hernia surgery June of 2002 after losing 90 pds, then went on and lost 40 more pds, and had somemore lipo, and revision of the tt scar done Jan 03, I had to pay some of the last surgery but it was worth every cent. I fight 10pds all the time, at least it is only 10pds instead of 130pds. I just had my annual physicial, and the Dr said don't lost anymore, I said you are the first in my life to say that (Ha) He said it will make you look too old, I am 62 this Nov, so I don't want to look any older for sure. This is such an incrible journey isn't it? worth every pain, to think where we were 2 years ago, to have the energy to do all we do now, and to look good in all those cute clothes, what a blessing, keep on doing good, it is a gift to ourselves, would love to hear from you anytime, God Bless Suzie (Nancy Meriwether)
