I'm curious how are people who have had surgery this month doing?  Updates please?

RNY on Wed 9/14 (also hiatal hernia repair).  Very sore all thru my mid section.  Hurts a lot if I sit or stand very long.  Raising up is really hard.  Best news, little to no appetite.

Surgery Sept. 28th Nervous, excited and anxious all at the same time. Doing the liquid diet, not fun but something I know I'll have to get used to. Ready for the new me. I have plans for the future... bike riding, skating and tennis something I haven't been able to do for so long.

I had RNY on the 13th.  All things considered, I am doing pretty well.  Still some lingering aches and pains, but not too bad.  My stamina is taking a bit to come back though.  My relationship with food is kinda strange.  I used to wake up in the mornings with a ravenous appetite--now it's more like I can take it or leave it.

I hope everyone out there is doing great!  Send me a note if you'd like to chat!

I have had really  low energy also but taking B-12 seems to be helping some.  I don't have much hunger either.  A few times I have thought I was hungry but then when I try to eat I really don't want anything and/or it doesn't taste as good as I thought it would -Guess that's a good thing though!

Goodluck to you-hope the weight comes off quickly as you would like.

Thanks, Kelly.  One day at a time--eating is a new adventure with each meal  But it's all good.  I know what you mean about food not tasting as good as I thought it would.  A friend who had the surgery explained that our whole appetite response mechanism is adjusting to the changes we've made.  I think patience and going slow is the key

Best of luck to you as well, Kelly--I hope you're finding the changes that you're looking for!
