Hi! I'm set to have a RNY Sept 1st, and while I am anxious about surgery in general, I am soooo very excited at the prospect of being healthy again! it has been 10 years since I wasn't messed up hormonally, and obese. Woo Hoo for getting healthy!!!

Hi, I don't have a date yet, but we think it will be before the end of September...unless the insurance comes back with "oh yeah, we didn't tell you about...."
Anyway - I have been doing protein stuff for a long time, since I have been Insulin Resistent and need to have protein at every diet.
I was wondering what the level of protein is for a protein shake?
I use an egg white protein...doesn't have much flavor at all.

Wow...and I just decided to do the sleeve because it was less invasive.

I was struggling with the LapBand or the VSG, and was leaning heavily on the VSG - and your surgery kind of pushes me toward the VSG to start with.
Can you tell me why you choose to do this?
