Sept 1st - just around the corner!

Hi! I'm set to have a RNY Sept 1st, and while I am anxious about surgery in general, I am soooo very excited at the prospect of being healthy again! it has been 10 years since I wasn't messed up hormonally, and obese. Woo Hoo for getting healthy!!!

Any other folks for the 1st?

Hi, I'm also a 9/1 surgery person. I can't wait! Getting really excited and nervous, trying to clean and get stuff ready. It's goona be here before we know it. Good luck to you!

How did you do?! I feeling pretty weak right now, but was sooo full of energy at the hospital. I hope you're feeling well, and recovering quickly!!!

Congrats! Those dates are coming so fast! Mine is 9/20!

I can't wait to finally be healthy too! Since I could remember, I was always obese. It's going to be a huge change but I am finally ready. =)

Congrats everyone and best wishes! I wish everyone all the best! My surgery date is September 2! im so excited and nervous all at the same time! Im just trying to get myself ready as well.. so much to do...so little time!

I just came back from a 6 day stay at the hospital... after surgery I was feeling GREAT! I was eating and walking around and everything... well the second day.. wow.. thats when things turned around. I was loosing blood.. I couldnt take 2 steps without almost falling to the ground. LOTS of pain... My hemaglobin was VERY low...the wonderful nurses at the hospital gave me a blood transfusion and the next day I felt 90% better.. I still wasnt ready to go home because I was still not 100% healthy and my blood pressure was still very high.. anyways Im home now and feeling VERY good! my stomach looks disgusting but they said it takes time to heal. ...Here's to a happy healthy rest of my life!

I'm having an RNY on the 1st also.  I am so beyond excited I can barely sit still.  I feel like I did in the last trimester- totally nesting.  Best of luck to you!  

How did it go?! Was it every bit as much a reliefe as having your baby? ;) For me it was much the same - a lot of build up, and a lot of weakness afterward... thinking it was going to be completely different from how it actually is.
