Surgery date September 22/10..anyone else on that day?

Hi, I'm looking for some buddies that are having surgery around the same time as me, for support, etc.  I'm having the Roux-en-y done on September 22, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario.  I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited about having some positive changes happening in my life! 

Anyone else having surgery (or have had the surgery) that would like a pal, please write me!

My date is September 20, 2010. Just 2 days before you. I'm also getting the RNY. I keep saying I'm so greatful that I'm finally gonna be on the road to a healthy life, but I've never been through any type of surgery before in my life, so now as the days get closer I am getting very, very nervous too.

Anyway, I can't wait for the positive changes too! I keep thinking, that maybe, I'll be off of my meds within just a few months & for that...I'm anxious! =)

Hi, I'm having my surgery on September 22, 2010 as well. Mine will be in Raleigh, NC. I'm with you there on the nervousness. How are you doing with your pre-op diet?

I'm having a sleeve done on the 22nd in Tijuana MX

 I will be having RNY before October 1st (due to an insurance change) I will know a final date on Tuesday 14th... but they are shooting for 22, 23, or 24th. I am very nervous and excited too. I attended a support group yesterday and everyone was really nice. I meet people from 8 days out to 7 years. I walked away knowing this is the right thing to do.
