I have Aetna but not sure about the lapband I had Lapro RY just go home today wow! Drinking crystal light with Beneprotein mix now. Trying to get my quota in for today!  I steered away from the lap band. Heard infections can happen and more problems I went full RY. They should cover it.

Hi Beth! I'm doing well. I've lost 95 lbs since surgery. My eating habits are great. I don't have many problems with food for the most part. I've only dumped once and that was on cole slaw, which I knew not to eat anyway, so that was my stupidity. Other than that, I haven't had any problems. I got my labs checked 3 weeks ago and my vitamin D is low, but everything else is good. Now I just need to work on exercising more regularly!

How are you doing?

I'm a little later than you (9/15/09) and struggling - I'm down 42 pounds since surgery (121 total since I lost 79 before surgery) - but discouraged that it's going slower than what I expected. I seem to stall for 7 to 10 or more days, then drop 4 to 6 pounds then repeat. Its very frustrating.

Hi Beth, I had my RNY on Sep 25 and am doing really well. The first 6 weeks were tough, dealing with no energy and light headedness. I went to my DR yesterday for my 3 month post-op and everything is wonderful. I've lost 56 lbs so far with 55 still to go. I've been walking most days for 30 minutes and have added 30 minutes of low impact aerobics 3 days per week. I can eat most anything nutritious. Haven't had any issues with meat or dairy. I'm following my DR's advice carefully and haven't tried any sweets or fats and don't eat any bread, rice, pasta or tortillas. I have to admit...i miss diet soda and bread!
