Hello! Are you doing a pre-op diet? I am doing the skim milk diet for 3 weeks. My surgery is the day after yours. I have lost just a little over 7lbs. since 9/1! I hope to lose 15 lbs at least :) I have been drinking Skim milk and it has 80 calories per cup. I have been doing about 5 or 6 cups of milk a day so 480 calories a day. I was drinking crystal light but it was making me feel hungry so I am only drinking water when I'm not have my meal of skim milk. I have to say this is a very difficult pre-op diet but It will be worth it in the end. This is the diet my surgeon puts everyone on. He will adjust the number of weeks depending on how much weight you lost before your consult with him. I know a girl who had to do the skim milk diet for 4 weeks YIKES!! Sorry to ramble on. My brain is a little crazy ha ha ha!

I am in good company having surgery with couple of people on the same day--- wow--- My was schedule couple weeks ago---- I can't wait either---- It's been long time coming---- I have struggle to get here--- and II'm finally here---YIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEE

My date is Sept. 28th, too, It seemed so long ago when it was scheduled back in July, but now the reality of how close is sinking in! It was really amazing when our fall schedule came out at work and I saw my name marked off for the entire month of October. I'm at the excited and a little nervous part. I'm sure the nervous feeling will grow as I count down the days. But despite that, I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!

Hey, I am curious to know what is your pre-op diet? I was scheduled for VSG on the same day as you with Dr. Almanze but moved my date to the 15th... The thing is I go an email with the pre-op instuctions and they say I only need to on liquids 3 days prior to surgery?! Is it the same for you??
