Thanks. I go see the dietician again today and hopefully get the order to have ultra sound and endoscope, so I can take it to my local doctor to have it scheduled.
Topic: RE: Anyone have their surgery 9/1/09?
I am 9 days post up now (9/1) and I gotta admit, I am miserable! I have terrible trapped gas under my right rib cage(I call her my child) that stays with me day and night, and at times it will radiate to my chest and up to my shoulder.
I am doing all of the "things" that I can possibly do yet I am seriously miserable. I went for my post op visit today and was advanced to "mushies" yet my tummy is so bloated I don't have any desire to drink, much less eat. I just don't feel good-ughh
I am a little frustrated! I know, I know, I know this was the right thing but feeling this miserable makes me feel a lot of buyers remorse, right now!
Anyone feeling my pain, uhh so to speak?
I wish you all a better recovery!

Topic: Dry Mouth
Has anyone experienced dry mouth during the pre-op diet? I'm getting everything I need in. I just can't bare this dry mouth.

So those of you post-op, do you have any advise for those of us who are still waiting patiently for our seat on the losers bench. Anything go better than expected or worse than you thought with surgery? Anything you wish you would have taken to the hospital, or something you took but didn't use? Any advice would be appreciated; and please include how many days post-op you are along with how your feeling. Goodluck!!!

Congratulations! I am Karen from Indiana. I am set for the 28th, and I am so ready. I am probably 5 lbs. more than you, do you really think we can get down to 130? That would be awesome. My surgeon hasn't given me a goal, and I was afraid to hope for too much! Although we have 6 kids, and my husband works out of town, so it is usually just kids and me. Our youngest was born really premature 2 years ago and is really attached to me. He does ok with my husband too, so I know they will be ok. But they are not looking forward to me being gone. I think the hardest part will be being away from them for a couple days. I was hoping to find someone on here with small children too. I have been wondering how you do right after surgery with small children at home.........
