Hello all you September RNYers!!!  I was just wondering what eveyones progress is....  So far I am down around 80lbs but that is including the 11 I lost before surgery so total surgery loss is 69lbs.  I have been at a stall for 5 weeks now.  My scale is not going down but at least its not going up!!  Sometimes I think its stuck because it likes that number. lol... I have not had any complications so far and can eat anything I want...literaly!  Sometimes it scares me because I dont get the dumping syndrome.  I eat anywhere from 6-7 oz a meal and I get in all my protein.  Im not very good with water and I know I need to change that.  Maybe that will help with this stall???  Hope everyone is doing good!

I had surgery September 1st and I am so very happy with my weight loss so far. I am in a stall right now, but I don't even care!

I am very happy with my surgery.  I started at 287 pounds and now I weigh 212.  My surgery date was 9/1/02 so I've lost 75 in just a little over 5 months.  The only thing that's bothering me is that my hair is starting to fall out more than usual.  I love my hair so this is really upsetting me.  I'm not losing big patches (thank God!) but I'm getting a lot in my comb every morning.  Anyone who has any tips on how to keep this from happening (maybe it's too late!) or any words of encouragement (like maybe it will come back!) I would greatly appreciate it.

I feel like I am doing good.  I may not have lost as much as some of the other people on here but I am happy with what I have lost.  I feel great for the most part.  Sometimes I think I am a little more tired than I should be but I blame it on working too much.  I still don't chew as well as I should and I know that so that is what I have to work on and definately exercise.  I hardly do that at all.  I may get over my stall faster if I do.  Glad everyone is doing well.

Thank you. I'm happy to report that I'm no longer at a plateau. I took the advice that was given (more water, protein, etc) and BAM...I'm back on track. YEAHHH!!! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU. It's a fun journey.

Hi,

I had RNY 9/25 so i'm a couple weeks behind you. I hit my first plateau about a month ago. It lasted for 2 weeks and then boom, I dropped 5 lbs in a matter of days. Now I've hit another just 2 weeks later. Everyone that has gone through WLS says not to worry. We are losing inches, so I try to take that to heart. I was also advised to take measurements, since even though the scale may not be moving, we are still losing inches.

Just have faith in the process.

Hello, I had RNY on Sep 25, 2009 and am doing well. I've had no complications so far other than some mood swings. I started feeling more "normal" and having more energy around the 6wk post-op mark. My weight loss has been great so far, 65 lbs to date. I started at 247 and am now teetering around 182. I've also hit a couple stalls as stated in a few other  peoples posts,  must be our bodies way of trying to play catch up with the fast weight loss. I get some type of exercise in daily for 30 minutes.

Am definitely past the buyers remorse stage!!! Enjoying the everchanging new me    : )
