I think just about everybody has that reaction. Second guessing everything. I know I have. My surgery is scheduled for the 30th and I'm getting "cold feet" too, but we will do fine. It helps to know that these feelings are totally normal. Your post has helped me as well, Thanks.

Well let me say...I tried to GULP some water the other day and it felt like I swalloed a tsunami. I will never gulp again. SIP, SIP, SIP. I haven't started back sleeping on my stomach yet. Mainly because it's still healing. I meant to ask the doctor about that but I forgot.
Yes its normal. Thats how I felt. I think its the fact that we know we can only SIP...that makes us want more. You know.
My problem is I find myself not wanting to puree my food. I'd rather chew it instead but I need to stop because that's risky. How are you doing with puree?

Mine is the 28th as well and I can NOT wait for it to get here. I'm first up to bat that day, at 7:45 so I have to be there at 5:45 - and i live 2 hours away!!!

Hi rjsjsn. I am also sharing your new birthdate. My surgery is on Sept. 22. I will be having lapband surgery. My doctor only required a 2 day clear liquid diet. I am on day 2. I have a bit of a headache but being compliant is well worth the reward. I have also been considering weight loss surgery for 2 years and decided to give it another try on my own. Well, I lost 40 lbs. on my own and gained it all back and then some. Funny, I am not afraid at all. I have an excellent surgeon and I going to a hospital of excellence. I am ready ! Good luck to you. Go to www.vitalady.com. You can order samples of all the proteins she sells on her site. She ships very quickly too. I recently bought BSN Lean Dessert and that one is by far the best one I have tried. It doesn't have the bad protein taste or smell that seems to gag me. GNC carries it, but it's cheaper to order it online.
